Chapter Delays on "We Are Dragons"

Due to editing and rewriting taking more time, the next update for "We Are Dragons" will be delayed for about 2-3 weeks.

October Edit: This didn't age well.

Pilot chapter for an original story

Below I have linked the first chapter of a story that came to me in a dream. Set in the fictional city of Santa Josina, two girls are swept up in a battle between angels and demons. I wanted to post the synopsis and first chapter to get a feel for whether this idea is something readers would be interested in.

    Lesson 8: Outlines

This lesson is going to be a little different as it’ll consist of more technical examples or demonstrations rather than the usual explanations. We will begin with a general overview and some statements on goals and focus, but for the most part, this lesson is going to focus on tools you can use for outlining.

Lesson 7: Setting and Worldbuilding (Part 2)

No time for introductions, we’re getting right into the swing of things from where we left off from part one.

    Our Orcs Are Different

The “Our Orcs Are Different” trope highlights that in fantasy media, orcs have become kind of a staple fictional race, sarcastically calling them “different” when in reality, the audience kind of already knows an orc when they see one.

Art Commission Fundraiser · 7:54pm May 9th, 2021

A few days ago I posted a question (here) asking for people to rate my art with a price range that they would be willing to pay. For the next two weeks (end Sunday 23rd updated to May 30th), I will be open to accepting commissions for art. But these payments won't be for me.

As stated in my previous post, I mentioned Feeding America, an organization that uses food rescue programs to deliver fresh meals to families in need across the United States (https://www.feedingamerica.org/). More specifically, my donation will go through the San Diego extension of Feeding America (Feeding San Diego), which performs the same programs as the rest of the organization, only focused on their local community.

With the backstory out of the way, let's get into the details of the donations you can make and the rewards you can get. All donations can be made via Venmo (@swordtune). Include the details of the artwork you want in the payment description.

$20: A twenty dollar (or more, if you're generous) donation will be rewarded with a full-body character with detailed colour, shading, and a simple background.

$15: A fifteen dollar donation will be rewarded with a full character, drawn with unidirectional lighting and minimal background.

$5: A five dollar donation will be rewarded with linework of heads or simple full-body poses (colourless or simple colours). Or, B&W cover art.

$1: A one-dollar donation will be rewarded with a special thank you letter and the feeling of gratitude. Just $1 is enough to provide a few meals to families in need, so this is a great donation if you don't want art but just want to help out.

Edit: When the donation is sent, a receipt will be made available as proof of donation. Stay up to date with my blogs if you want to see the final donation which you have contributed to.
