You know how people often say a thing such as “love at first sight”? That special individual whom the first person beholds for the first time in his/her life starts to attract that person and undergoes a process which eventually leads to a romantic relationship between two parties. Of course, most people have that type of relationship with Disney movies like this one through nostalgia, and it never shakes as time goes by.

For me... it is the complete opposite. I would love to call this experience as terror at first sight. I am dead serious when I say that this is the very movie that gave me trauma and nightmares when I was a child as well as the very first movie I have ever watched in my existence. Guys, I never thought I would say this in front of you all, but I cannot enjoy a movie that has this amount of nightmare fuel and disturbing elements. I would agree with Darth Wrex this one and only time—this should NOT be considered a kid’s movie.

Considering how this was released in the 1930s, we can easily tell that the animation does not hold up that well and has aged poorly. However, the animation of the multiple scenes containing nightmare fuel was terrifyingly accurate and DID age well. That’s the scary and amazing part.

One primary example I am thinking about is the scene where Snow White flees to the dark woods and encounters all sorts of horrific creatures made of trees and moss due to her fears and hallucinations. Oh goodness, that terrifying music is playing in my head now. CURSE YOU, MOVIE!

That has got to be the most traumatizing scene in the history of animation. I heard that people in theaters during that time fled from the theaters during this scene out of pure terror. Scariest shit I’ve ever seen.

The dwarfs however were actually pretty decent in this. I think my favorite ones are Grumpy, Doc, and Happy. To be honest, I am a mixture of all three in real life... just so you know lol. It’s a mixture of Batman and Joker in case you’re wondering... minus Doc.

Snow White herself was boring yet very sweet. I’ll give her that. That Prince guy was... ugh... not gonna talk about generic characters like him. Moving on...

Lastly, the villain was pretty okay! The Evil Queen Grimhilde was an interesting character enough for me to grab the Infinity Gauntlet to snap her out of existence. That’s how much she was really good! 🙄
I’m so happy she got smashed to a bloody paste by that boulder and was eaten by those evil-looking vultures. Great work, Thor!

Aside from the decent soundtrack and voice acting, this was just so... painfully scary and agonizing when I was so much younger. I wish I can just forget this ever existed and that I never watched it. 1/10
If you actually enjoyed this classic movie, good for you.

I will never mention this nightmare ever again.

Wow, that low.

Surprising to hear this was traumatizing. I guess it was due to my ignorance to movies back then.
