...I've been rewatching Macross Frontier and I was struck by what a strong character Sheryl Nome is, and, without too many spoilers for a series from uh... 12(?) years ago, there's a duet that Sheryl and Ranka sing for Alto, and I've had it stuck in my head. So, if the only way to get rid of Sadako was to share the video with unsuspecting victims, I'll see if I can get it out of my head by sharing with you guys.
I don't think that's necessarily the best song of the series... if we include the OVAs, their impromptu concert in honor of Fire Bomber still takes the cake imo, but I think it's a nice song to share in a day of questionable posts.

Huh, I watched the two original movies but never kept with any of it after that. I might have to go back to it. I remember those movies having good soundtracks, but then Yoko Kanno, so that was inevitable.
5487994 Macross 7 is a bit hit and miss for some people, but I enjoyed it, even if you can REALLY feel its age. But there's a lot of Beatles influence in it if you can spot it. Frontier and Delta are a bit different but enjoyable, and the movies and ovas are generally good. Don't know if you checked Macross Zero as well, but the overall metaplot ties nicely around all of them.

No, all I've ever seen is Macross and Macross Plus.
I really wish there could be a good US release (even just official subs) of Macross Frontier, I super enjoyed it back in the day.

But I'm not a big fan of the movie versions of it :/
