Christopher Nolan if only for one reason. He didn't call the people who disliked his movies retards, unlike Michael Bay. I'll elaborate further if you're interested.

Do you want to know part of the reason why The Last Knight did so poorly in theaters? A few months before the movie dropped, Michael Bay stated in a interview, and I quote, "To all you retards, it doesn't matter if you like my movies or not, you're still gonna go see them." You can imagine how quickly that spread on the internet.

Yeah, I’ve heard that before. It’s no wonder why he’s hated by a lot of people. The least a film director should do is actually accept criticism.

Christopher Nolan all the way!

Interestingly, the first movie I’ve seen by each of these directors were these films:

“The Rock” (directed by Michael Bay) and “The Prestige” (directed by Christopher Nolan).

At the most, “The Rock” was good, but there were flaws in the movie that make it far from his best work as many would claim. As for “The Prestige”...well, there’s a review I made that would explain everything I thought about the film better than I could in this comment.

Thanks for your comment. But please try not to insert links of your stuff on my page. I told you this before, remember?

Right. Apologies. I just got caught up in the moment.

Since you likely won’t be taking a look at my review on “The Prestige”, I’m gonna come clean about what I think of it on here:

When I saw the movie, I was honestly left completely underwhelmed. It has some terrific performances and cast members (Michael Caine and David Bowie giving perhaps the best portrayals), but other than that...nothing about it was a masterpiece. The characters (outside of John Cutter and Nikola Tesla) we’re openly unlikable and one-dimensional, the direction by Nolan and the screenplay by him and his brother was openly confusing and muddled, and the overall themes weren’t very well executed at all. The worst part was that it contained little in the ways of morality.

Overall, as someone who saw his first Christopher Nolan film, I was less than impressed. Especially to where I’ve been hoping to see movies done by Nolan that are much better.

I know he's not among the directors listed here, but...personally, one of my favorite directors is Steven Spielberg.

I've seen more movies by him than I can count, and they were all extremely fun to watch.

Gentlemen, I just discovered that Christopher Nolan is actually a huge fan of Michael Bay’s films according to this article. What do you all think of that?

I find it odd. Nothing more

Welp, I finished watching The Prestige recently for the first time. The reason why I refused to read your review of the film or even say anything about it was that I haven’t seen it at the time. Now that I have seen it myself, I can say that I respect your opinion on the movie. Expect my review of it to come soon.
