Greetings, everyone. Today, I will be talking about the original film of Cinderella. Now, this entire trilogy of the same name is overall... mediocre at best. Tomorrow, I will review the second installment and review the third one this Friday. So stay tuned for that. For today, I will express my feelings for the original film. When I was a kid, I thought this movie was at least a bit entertaining and amusing. But as I got older, I got really bored of it and even now. In my humble opinion, this has got to be one of the most boring and cliche animated films of all time. I am certain some of you guys love this movie which is okay. But for me, it doesn’t really mean anything to me.

The animation is really okay along with the decent voice acting. However, I just find the story to be quite silly and bland. Cinderella is an uninteresting character since she does not posses any sort of intriguing personality. Same can be said for that prince guy whom she fell in love with (I can’t remember his name). He has no personality whatsoever, and did nothing of significance for the plot. But... that changes once we get to the third film. (Wink, wink)

The mice characters were actually pretty fun to watch, so I’ll give them that. The idea of having talking little mice as sidekicks or friends is interesting I suppose. The lighthearted tone was really nice so it would give the children a sense of comfort and peace. I’m quite surprised this wasn’t really dark at all or haunting like how Snow White and the Dwarfs was. Gosh, I shudder at the very thought of that... thing. 😣

The stepmother (Lady Tremaine) was quite intimidating in terms of her character and facial expressions. Every time she gave her death glares and intense stares, you can easily tell she was going to do something evil or whenever she would have that ugly smirk on her face. Shit-eating grin at its finest. But besides that, she isn’t that interesting of a character to me. Lucifer the Cat was also entertaining to watch. His incessant antagonism towards the mice as a cat would do gives me the Tom and Jerry vibes.

Overall, this movie is very boring and fails to bring about strongly written characters that would make me actually care about them. The story is weak, and the characters are weak. 3/10 But don’t worry, things start to slowly improve as time went on.
That’s really... all I have to say about this film.

Peace ✌🏼

Was funny to see a cat get beaten up by mice.

Suddenly I’ve grown quite curious about something:

What inspired you to do reviews on films, TV shows, and individual episodes of stuff?

Are you also planning on reviewing the live-action remake?

Never.

That is something I might post about in the future.

5477908
You think it's that bad, huh?

5477922
I never watched it, and I never will.

5477950
I watched it a few years ago. Thought it was okay, but haven't watched it again since.

Funny thing. I loved the remake just like I loved the animated film.

Thank you.

Whether it’s just me is something I don’t know, but based on your analysis, I think you may find the remake to be an improvement over the animated version in many ways.

I’m quite surprised this wasn’t really dark at all or haunting like how Snow White and the Dwarfs was. Gosh, I shudder at the very thought of that... thing. 😣

You plan on reviewing that film at some point?

Like I already said, I will never watch the remake. I’m just not interested.

As for Snow White... I just need to muster the strength to review that film because it traumatized me as a kid. I’ll explain more once I review it.
