Bonkers Reboot

Now, the title may be a little confusing and I wasn’t sure if I should’ve uploaded this on a forum, but I’m going to upload it here for reasons I’ll explain later. If you’re apart of Friendship is Awesome or FiM will live on forever, you know I uploaded some forum with a video question on how to portal to the human world works. I have to agree with most of the comments that the portal should’ve made any sentient creature (Pony, Dragon, Changeling, Griffon, etc.) into a human so it wouldn’t be so confusing.

So, I was thinking of doing something like a rewrite of Equestria to make Spike human, but then I had this wild idea that is so crazy it might work. Now, remember in the first movie when Sunset threatened to break the mirror, preventing Twilight from getting home. While many people have joked if she hit the center of the portal the sledgehammer would phase through, what about the structure surrounding it. If it were damaged, would the portal become unusable?

For me, I had this crazy theory that if the portal cracked there would be an event similar to what Midnight Sparkle did. Portals opening up everywhere, but what I was planning on happening was there to be something similar to the big bang. After that happened, everything would go back to normal though I would have one thing be different. Whenever a creature, say a dragon-like Ember, goes through the portal after the bang event, instead of turning into a dog, she’d become a human.

This also affects creatures that live in the human world, like Spike. Instead of being Twilight’s pet, he’d be her little brother. Most of the world would have their minds rewired so they wouldn’t question things. It’s a little confusing and that’s why I think it’s a bonkers idea. Still, I think it would help make the mechanics of the portal a little less confusing. I’m not sure if I would write this or if I would make an alternate universe with the characters all as humans, but it’s interesting to think about.

Great. Another thing I was thinking could change in this universal reboot would be having the humans have regular skin colors instead of the same colored skin as their pony counter parts.
