It's finally completed · 8:56am Feb 16th, 2021
So as you can see, 'A Trip to Luna's Moon, or the Equestrian Dream Factory' finally got that wonderful green "completed" placed on it. If you haven't read it and are interested, go give it a read, give it a like, a nice comment, a rude comment, a dislike, whatever you want really. Or don't, I can't tell you what to do.
I've wanted to write this story for a while now, so its cool to see it finally done. Aside from the wonderful and delightful works of Georges Méliès, the story, for those of you who don't know, is heavily based on the aftermath of the American civil war in 1861-1865, and the horrors that were later unleashed with D.W. Griffins film, 'The Birth of a Nation'. Horrors that we are still very much feeling to this day. All that said, about half way through writing this, I realized that my story had begun to comment on something much more relevant, as, to my growing displeasure, history completely repeated itself in the US with the insurrection on the capital. Scary stuff, and something that I felt needed to be addressed. I never intended to have my story parallel that, (How could I? I planned it out and wrote most of it before the insurrection even happened) but the parallel is there none the less, for better or worse...

So what's next? Well, I still have my other fic to finish. With this story done, I'll hopefully get more time to write that, and given some luck, I hope to finish that story before the end of 2021. Probably shouldn't cross my fingers to hard on that though... I guess we'll see what happens there. Outside of FO:E-Utopia, I want to try my hand at some other story ideas as well. Maybe some cosmic horror, or even a slice of life comedy. I got ideas for both, but they're still pretty underdeveloped and though they'll hopefully both be coming at some point, it might be a few months before they pop up.
With all that said, I hope you enjoyed this story. Thanks to everyone that has taken the time out of their busy lives to read it and thanks to everyone that reads it yet to come. I hope all of you have a great day!
