Good evening, friends. Here is my review of Pixar’s The Incredibles! Behold, another one of my favorite Pixar films of all time! It is filled with superb action, comedy, entertainment, and family fun! This is quite an awesome superhero film that even Marvel and DC themselves should at least acknowledge as great. Not to mention that the main characters are actual people we can relate to and sympathize with! Oh, and I just love how realistic the film’s premise was which not many superhero movies try to uphold.

Do you guys remember from my previous reviews such as the ones on Man of Steel and the Transformers films? I hated how superheroes often “accidentally” destroy parts of a populated area with little to no regard of civilian casualties. I mean, you are supposed to be the good guys and yet, you fail to keep the people safe! Why do they always have to fight super villains in a city?! Why not fight them OUTSIDE the city with no innocent people around?! Thank Primus this film actually addressed this issue just like how Captain America: Civil War did.

I really enjoyed watching the Incredibles develop throughout the movie. Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible was definitely relatable in terms of standing up for what is right and trying to revive the old days of being a superhero after 15 years of forced retirement after it became illegal. He was both hilarious and interesting to watch. Craig Nelson did well voicing him. As for Elastigirl... um, I think she should be called “Elastiwoman”, not girl because... she’s a grown woman. But anyway, she was written well as the film’s deuteragonist. Hey look, she would be a great ally to Plastic Man! Dash and Violet were so relatable as they remind me often of my interactions with my sister when we were younger. Gotta admire the childhood memories 😂!

The action was so well created and animated. It was epic and cool to look at, and the soundtrack is likewise greatly composed. The story was straightforward and simple to follow as it was engaging and full of meaningful dialogue between our characters in regards to our society and present age. This film shows us that even when we try to do the right thing for the good of others albeit unorthodox in some ways, some people will just still deride us because we can’t have good things in the world, can we? Some people are just so idiotic.

And now for the movie’s main antagonist:

I have to admit this psychopath was just... insane! Although he is also one of my favorite Pixar villains, he does have a flawed background. His outstanding personality makes up for it however. He was originally just some overly obsessive fanboy who wanted to be a hero alongside his idol Mr. Incredible. But when he said to him, “Fly home, Buddy, I work alone!”, that crushed his feelings? (Sighs) This is what happens when you let your unhealthy obsession cloud your judgement. Bob had the full right to reject him like that because it was none of his business to intervene into dangerous situations that nearly got him killed. Then during all these years, he harbored a hatred and grudge against him? That’s just... sad.

Despite the issue I have with his origin, I just love his lively personality and villainy. He reminds me of the Storm King from MLP: The Movie. Too bad he got shred to bits at the end thanks to his cape. NO CAPES!!!

But how the hell did he acquire all that advanced technology though? He was just some random fanboy, and then... HE BECAME SOME FORM OF TECHNOLOGICAL TERRORIST? How did he get all those soldiers working for him?! How did he meet Mirage? How did he become in charge of a secret organized base on a volcano? Where did he get the omnidroids? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!

Jason Lee... you are such a legend, aren’t you? Great job, Buddy—I mean, buddy. See what I did there? ;)

Oh, and props to Samuel Jackson for voicing Frozone in this movie. He never fails to deliver such excellent yet funny lines of dialogue. Edna was great to watch too.

Terrific voice acting with a great cliffhanger to a great sequel which I will review in the future. 10/10! Peace!

Helen Parr is also one of my favorite fictional women due to her personality and her (ahem) big booty/MILFy body.

You noticed how mad Mr. Incredible was that Syndrome killed those heroes? I don't think it was just because he was pretending to be one.

😉 You and me both, pal.

5451382
Indeed. I especially love his line:

And when everyone’s super... no one will be!

5451391
Aside from that, I think Mr. Incredible was mad because those heroes were his friends. Even though he said he worked alone, that doesn't mean was against a needed team-up.

5451395
Yep. That’s just how far Syndrome went due to insanity and lust for revenge.

I get the feeling Elastgirl, Frozone, or Edna didn't take the news well.

I'd say you guys were weird, but... I will admit...

In all seriousness, not a bad movie. Didn't see it in my younger years... that's been a bit more later where I'd frequently see it.

When will your review of the second Incredibles film be coming?
