    Life Update.

    So…. Yeah.

Long story short, quite a few things happened. SMoTE is still not getting regular updates, at most I can try to squeeze a chapter out a month. This isn’t because I’m too busy with my new job or anything, because I apparently don’t have one.

So yeah, if you read my last blog post then you know I was planning to delay SMoTE updates because of some amazing job opportunities.

200 Followers Celebration! Part 1. · 2:19pm Jan 15th, 2021

I’ve been waiting for this. I was going to pretend that I was’t prepared for 200 Followers when I hit 196, but I’ve been sitting on 199 Followers for nearly a week just waiting to thank you all. Seriously, I love you all for following, liking my stories, commenting, and favoriting a few of my stories. You’re all wonderful, and I wouldn’t be writing if it weren’t for all of you.

The oldest followers among you started following me because of my first Displaced story, Bizarro Am Not in Equestria. As many of you know, that story is now up for adoption because I lost my love for it. I ended up turning what should have been a slow burning love story where Bizarro and Trixie travel Equestria as performers, with occasional badies from DC like Mister Mxyzptlk and Reverse Flash, turned into a harem story where I fucked up everything. The death of my story came when I ended up turning Rainbow Dash into a fedora tipping white knight and felt actually disgusted with myself. It was a quick scene that I could fix by deleting it, but it still stayed with me, taunting me with a reminder of what I could have turned it into. So, I took some time off from it, reflected on my work, and decided that I couldn’t continue it. I tried, I tried working on the chapter after that, I tried editing older chapters, I tried to come back, but I couldn’t. I wasn’t happy with it anymore. Hence, why it’s up for adoption and why I’ve linked the story to this post.

Now, what does this have to do with getting 200 Followers? Well, I had a lot of ideas for the story that I never shared, and I thought that it’d be nice to show it off here, at least so that some of you can get an idea of what I wanted to do with it. As a reminder, the story is still up for adoption, so if someone wants to reboot it or continue where I left off, all you have to do is PM me.

I will warn you, there is no conclusive ending for Bizarro. If you want that, then you should use your imagination. And because of the size, I’ll be breaking this up into two multiple posts. Thanks again for following me, it means a lot!

Now, here are the remains of Bizarro Am Not in Equestria.

Chapter 21: Moving on.

BIZARRO POV

The Friendship Express moved down the train tracks at a leisurely pace as my small group of friends and I waved goodbye to Trixie until she was completely out of view. Even as she disappeared into the distance, I left my hand up for a few more moments, as if I was waiting for her to suddenly reappear. It wasn't until the train disappeared in the horizon that I finally let my hand fall down to my side.

The rest of the day came and went without much incident, with Twilight and Spike returning to her library and Pinkie Pie inviting me over to Sugarcube Corner for a snack. We sat and talked for a good deal of time, and Pinkie Pie was surprisingly calm the entire time, allowing us to have a somber conversation about Trixie deciding to leave. In a way, it was... nice to have somepony to talk to about it. She told me that she was already planning a trip to Fillydelphia for Trixie's birthday in a month promising to make it one of the "Most Stupendous and Terrific Birthday Bashes Ever!" Then the topic of my birthday came up and I dismissed the idea of having a big party or anything like that, though I'm not sure my words reached her ears.

After a nice conversation and a decent sugar filled meal, I left Sugarcube Corner and went back to Applejack's farm. I told them about me needing a home and job, and asked if they'd be willing to accept me as an employee. Granny Smith was a little reluctant to hire me since she was an old-fashioned mare who thought farm work was a mare's job, but Applejack and Big Mac both recommended me and Granny Smith decided to let me on to pay back for the food and guest room. So, I at least had a nice place to rest and a decent job, that was one of the very few good things that came out of that day. Afterwords I said goodnight to the Apple family, thanked them profusely, and went upstairs to the guest room, which I guessed was now my room.

I struggled to find a comfortable position in my bed inside Applejack’s guest room, my body almost constantly moving and shifting to find just the right spot to fall asleep for the night and put the day behind me. Eventually, I ended up lying on my back with my eyes still wide open as a decent amount of moonlight trickled through the open gap of the curtains. I laid in bed staring at the ceiling with a bored expression as Sunset Shimmer’s voice rang inside my head.

She thinks that you should stay here. Sunset Shimmer’s faint voice repeated in my memories. Why did Trixie think that? Or, I guess it would have been correct to actually call her Trick. I couldn’t believe that was her actual name this whole time, who would have guessed that.

You did. You did and she never told you the truth. She lied to you. My couscous thoughts argued.

“She not lie. She just… It no different from what Bizarro do.” I argued with myself.

She lied to you. Don't you remember when she said she had no home to go back to? Why could she suddenly go back now?

Because she's sick, that's why. I argued back. Fuck me, I can’t believe I’m arguing with myself. Have I really lost my mind?

Probably. It’s best if you forget about her anyway. Just move on. My couscous thoughts concluded.

“Yeah… Me move on…” I agreed as my eyes began to feel heavier and I soon drifted off into another dreamless sleep.

I glared at the formidable enemy in front of me with pure hatred. I held it tightly in my hands, resisting the urge to break the spine of the thing I was holding as it continued to silently taunt me. My grip continued to tighten around its back as I dug my fingers into its skin.

I stared into the lifeless eyes of the colorful dog that was a few inches away from my face as I ground my teeth, the little dog giving me a condescending smile all the while as he held a thumb up to “encourage” me.

“The… Dog... Ran… t… Ran th… th…”

“Through.” Twilight said as she looked over my shoulder at the foal’s book.

“Through… the… meb… meid…. THIS AM SMART!” I shouted as I gave up and tossed the book away from me. After it left my hands and sailed towards the wall, Twilight caught it in her magic aura and levitated it back to the shelf.

“You did great, Bizarro.” Twilight encouraged as she rested a hand on my shoulder. I huffed bitterly as I stood up and grabbed the red ABC foal’s book off of the shelf for reference and tried to remember the song again so I could match it up to the pictures of letters.

It had been about a week since Trixie left Ponyville with her Great Aunt, Sunset Shimmer. I won't lie, the first day was just... numb. I wanted to feel something, anything. Happiness that Trixie would get help and see her family, sadness that one of my first real friends in Equestria just up and left, angry that it was my fault, I wanted to feel anything other than the numbness that was inside. The second day went better, I had actually decided to get in a morning run to take my mind off of it, followed up by a quick boxing lesson from Snowflake at his gym.

After everything that happened I made myself a promise to improve myself, start exercising more, learn how to throw a better punch, practice my grammar, and most importantly of all I had to start focusing on my literacy.

I absolutely hated being unable to read, it was infuriating because I already knew how to, I knew verbs, nouns, adjectives, proper pronunciation, I knew all of it. But apparently what I knew just disappeared whenever I looked at a piece of paper. Lowercase B’s and D’s looked too similar, I kept confusing the sounds J’s and G’s, and I couldn’t tell if the letter O was supposed to be pronounced in most words. I knew how to say "cow" and I knew how to say "dog", but I couldn’t for the life of me say it right when I read it, instead of saying cow like “kou” I said it like “cooh” with way too much emphasis on the O. The worst of all was that I could swear that the words were moving around when I wasn't focusing on them, like the books were playing a cruel joke on me.

"Maybe we did enough today Bizarro." Twilight said as she gently took the book out of my hand.

"Maybe you am right." I relented easily. Learning how to read was pretty exhausting, but I'd do whatever I had to to become literate again.

I might end up returning to Earth as a monster, but I’d return as a literate monster damnit!

I lowered myself into one of the chairs in Twilight's library, melting into the comfort of the chair as I felt my stress slowly deteriorate. A content sigh escaped me as I put the problem of my literacy behind me so future me could deal with it.

It was especially frustrating since reading was one of the few pastimes that I could enjoy in Equestria. Tv was alright but it was all the same quality as tv shows like Green Acres and the very first season of Doctor Who. It wasn't bad per-say, just repetitive and uninteresting to me. What I wouldn't give for a dystopian future story like Animal Farm or 1984.

Twilight was really intrigued by my favorite genre of stories back on Earth, dystopian futures. Apparently, Equestrian didn't have stories revolving around the premises of corrupt governments and sinister puppet masters since that would possibly be seen as treason, and nopony really wanted to entertain the idea of a broken government.

When Twilight asked me to go into greater details about those stories, I did one of the dumbest things I could have possibly done. I told Twilight about the dystopian story where books were outlawed, called Fahrenheit 451. In hindsight, I should have told her literally any other story since she was practically in love with books. After the first summary sentence left my mouth, Twilight immediately began hyperventilating as she rushed around her book shelves, double checking to make sure that every single book had a fire proof spell on it. She then curled up into a ball and started muttering about "Day Breaker" as several hairs popped out of place from her mane.

While it was certainly an interesting sight, it was also one that neither Spike nor I wanted a repeat of any time soon. Speaking of the little dragon, Spike was busy making lunch for all of us in the kitchen. It was nice to have something that didn't have to have apples in it for once. Don't get me wrong, I was grateful to Applejack and her family for providing for me, but I think if I ate another apple my tongue would fall off. Not to mention that I was somewhat concerned that I and the entire Apple family would have gotten Cyanide poisoning if we continued to use apple seeds in the dishes, or at least that I would get Cyanide poisoning since they were apparently immune to it.

Speaking of the Apple family, work over on the farm had been going relatively well so far. Applejack taught me what a ripe apple looked like and showed me the proper way to take it off of the branch without causing the entire branch to shake, and Big Mac had shown me how to properly plow a field and how to use their old push lawn mowers.

"I got you a little something. I wanted to give it to you sooner but... Well, with everything that happened."

"Am... Am this an ID?"

"Yup. I figured you'd need one if you wanted to do things that required ID. You know, like buy liquor, see adult movies, stuff like that."

"But... Bizarro am nineteen."

"So? Do nineteen-year olds not get ID's on Earth?"

"No, but where Bizarro come from, we no allowed to drink until we am twenty one.

"Twenty-one?! Faust, I didn't think your species would wait that long, that's essentially on par with the minotaur drinking age."

"So, what am drinking age in Equestria?"

"Fourteen, it's around the time fillies and colts learn how to fly or use magic if they're a pegasi, thestral, or unicorn. If they can be trusted with flight and magic, then they can be trusted with a beverage."

I only hoped that I would still have the chance to apologize to Trixie before I went home.

"Soooo, me and the girls were going to go to the Nickelodeon to see the latest sound feature, and we were wondering if you wanted to come with us."

Jack's holocron sat on the top shelf of the book case next to my stone medallion and ring box.

"This isn't a date, girls. We're just hanging out with Bizarro-"

"At the movies." Rainbow Dash interjected.

"Wait, how could any of you date Bizarro?" Fluttershy asked.

"To see what he's like in the sack." Rainbow Dash explained.

"But I thought Bizarro was... You know... Gay?" Fluttershy weakly asked in a quiet voice. Normally, I'd hate the use of oxymorons, but I think the best way to describe the silence that fell over us would be deafening. "I mean, he is, right? A-at least that's the impression I got off of him."

"An' what impression would that be?" Applejack asked.

"Well, it's just that he's very maresculine, and he doesn't really act much like a stallion. So I thought that maybe he uh... 'swung the other way'?" She said sheepishly. A look of panic washed over Rainbow Dash’s face as she began to pale at the implications.

“How would we do that? ‘Hey Biz, any chance you like taking it up the—‘“

“Rainbow Dash! There’s no need to be so crass.” Rarity chastised. “Besides, if he prefers the company of a stallion than that of a mare, that shouldn’t matter to us.”

“Kinda does since I can’t bang him if he doesn’t like mares!” Rainbow Dash seethed.

"Jesus fornicating with Christ." I muttered under my breath.

"What was that, dearie?" Rarity asked.

"Nothing, it's just something Princess Celestia would say at times like these." I explained as Rainbow Dash continued to prattle on and on like she was defending Bizarro’s honor or something like that.

"I mean, I did for a bit I suppose but not anymore. The more I hung out with him the less inclined I felt to have a serious relationship with. Basically, I think we make better friends than special friends."

"Well his abilities are intriguing, and I'm completely fascinated, if not slightly terrified, by the books he read on Earth and Earth's history and culture. But we just don't have that... compatibility, you know?" I asked my friends. While I liked Bizarro, I wouldn't say that I loved him or had any romantic feelings towards him.

“So you liked him, and now you don’t?” Rainbow Dash asked.

"What can I say, opinions change. It's better that I realized this now before I tried to ask him out and then realized how I felt."

“Yes!” Rainbow Dash said with a fist pump. “One less for the competition.” She gloated, causing most of us to deadpan at her.

“It ain’t a competition, Dash.” Applejack said sternly.

“Why don’t any of you ask him out then?” I asked.

“Grieving period, duh. He got dumped by Trixie, can’t ask him out on a date right after that happened.” Rainbow Dash explained. Surprisingly, Rarity nodded in agreement to Rainbow’s statement.

“I’ve got my eyes set on somepony else already, so I have to prematurely forfeit from your little battle for his heart.”

"What about you, Pinkie, got any stallion you'd take to bed?"

"Yup, but I only met him once when I was a filly, though I should see him again someday. Then we'll get married and have a little filly together."

"I know it will, I read it in a book once." Pinkie Pie explained.

BIZARRO POV

The movie was about a mare that met a mysterious stallion with a hidden past who turned out to be something call

The movie itself was pretty good. A bit slow in my opinion but I was used to fast paced and constant action that left little time for rest.

“Hey Kevin, I’ll have a black coffee.”

“You got it, Ma’am.”

Unlike the changelings I ran into in the forest, the one on screen was actually fully clothed, wearing a white blouse shirt and a pair of jeans.

Something else I noticed about the changeling was that he was wearing a magic suppression ring around his horn, similar to the one Trixie wore when we were all affected by Poison Joke and when we were arrested in Canterlot.

The creature on screen had my undivided attention, even as he walked into the background and the camera focused on the protagonist, I kept my eyes locked on the insect-like creature. He wore a genuine smile on his face unlike the sadistic smile my attackers wore back in the Everfree Forest.

"Bizarro! You can't call them bugs, that's highly offensive!" Rarity chastised.

"So? Who cares if their feelings are hurt, they eat ours anyway." Twilight surprisingly interjected.

"Some changelings who became legal citizens decided to stay disguised as ponies since they're often persecuted for what the loyal changelings do. Loyal changelings are the ones who follow the Queen's orders without hesitation, similar to the ones you uh... T-that you and Trixie encountered."
….

Chapter 22: Falling Leaves.

BIZARRO POV

….
I had asked them where they got the horseshoes, to which they both gave me a quizzical look, telling me that they were minotaur shoes.

….
“A stallion in the running of the leaves? Even if you were a pony, you’re still a male." Spoiled told me. I felt angry at her for a brief moment before that feeling was washed away by shame. I wasn't like them, I was an alien freak who shared a passing resemblance to them.

“Why should that stop Biz from entering?” Rainbow Dash questioned.

"Twilight, am you okay?" I asked.

"Oh, hey Bizarro, yeah I'm doing alright. How'd you get to the back?" She asked.

….
"Ah, maybe you got lost then. Don't worry, just follow the trail and you should be able to catch up with the others."

"Me... Me thought I did? Maybe me get turned around." I admitted as I looked ahead. I could have sworn that I was following the path, but I didn't cross any finish line, so maybe I accidentally went off the track and ended up in the back? I reasoned.

"Thanks for help." I told Twilight as I ran ahead before I stopped to look back at her. "Why am you no running? Am you sprain your ankle?"

My pace slowed down as I looked at the many trees that lined the race track, each branch was coated in a tapestry of oranges, yellows, and reds. The vibrant colors complimented the nearly cloudless sky above them, creating a picturesque frame for the light blue backdrop. It was odd in a way, how the sky looked more real than life itself, like comparing an oil painting to an animation in Flash. It reminded me of the beautiful skies back home and how much more real it looked than reality itself, if that even makes sense. It was all so beautiful, and each bit of it reminder me of Earth, but instead of feeling sadness or grief, I felt content.

I breathed in a relaxing breath of air as I let a sense of calm wash over me like a gentle breeze, a smile spread wider on my face as I felt the wind tickle my skin. The methodically moving winds caused the leaves to sing a chorus that drowned the distant sound of feet stomping ahead of me.

The birds chirped happily as they flew from branch to branch over our heads ad trickling shower of reds, oranges, and yellows fell from the mostly bare branches of the trees.

For once, I truly felt at peace in my surroundings as all of my problems and worries drifted away. My problems didn’t exist, they didn’t matter, I was simply lost in the beauty of nature that surrounded us, a testament to the sadness and serenity life had to offer.

"This am nice..." I admired as I absorbed the the atmosphere.

Chapter 23: Good Intentions, Bad Decisions.

BIZARRO POV

"I didn't lie about Earth. I have never heard of a Displaced being summoned back to Earth before and I'm not sure how possible it is. For all I know that was something his Merchant gave them specifically, it would make sense since he made their Tokens for them. Then again, maybe he lied to them, or perhaps Jack lied to you.

“No! Jack no lie to Bizarro, he me friend!”

Why? Because he helped you? That’s our job, Bizarro. We help each other to ensure the safety of our respective Equestria’s. He helped you once, and you suddenly think he’s your best friend. I can help you more, help you make everything in this world perfect. It can be a perfect world. A perfect home to live out your days… I’m sorry, Bizarro, but there’s no hope of returning to our old home…

“n-no… liar…. LIAR!”

I did not lie about that. Even if there was a way home, you can’t go back there! Equestria needs you to protect it.

“Why? Bizarro not want to come here, me want to go home!” I argued.

WELL NOT ALL OF US GET WHAT WE WANT, DAMMIT!” Darth Vader screamed at me in an instant. My heart stopped beating for a second as I felt a wave of immense anger wash over me, nearly drowning me in a thick sea of hatred and bitterness.

We’ve all lost things, I’ve lost things that you can’t possibly even comprehend! I lost my wife, my family, everything! You at least have a planet full of friends to help you, I don’t! You can be their hero, Bizarro. There are many villains that will harm Equestrian, Tirek, Chrysalis, Sombra, and many more who may pose similar threats. And your greatest opponent will be someone you once called your friend. When the time arrives, you will have to stop the greatest villain of all, you'll have to stand against Trixie.

My eyes widened for a moment in shock before they narrowed at Darth Vader. “No, Trick am good pony. She not be mean!”

Really? HA! Then you clearly didn’t watch My Little Pony back on Earth. The last time I saw her in the show was when she used a powerful amulet to enslave Ponyville, and when I met her in real life, she was even worse! I thought she was my friend, I thought I could trust her, teach her the ways of the Force so she could incorporate it into her magical acts, but she betrayed me. I warned her what would happen if she went down the path of violence in her quest for power, but she didn't care. If it weren’t for her, Spike and the other dragons would have at least lived to see the end. She slaughtered them mercilessly so she could steal magical artifacts from their hordes and add them to her growing arsenal of magical and Force sensitive weapons." He told me.

I felt a growing rage burn inside me as he accused Trixie of being a merciless murderer. There was no way she could have done that, she wasn't the type of pony to do those things. Every accusation that flew out of his mouth added fuel to my growing hatred. Trixie wasn't the demon he made her out to be, and there was no way she'd fall down that path. I knew with all my heart that she wouldn't do that.

I can feel your rage, Bizarro. You need to understand, she's not a good person. She will destroy everything you hold dear if you don't stop her. I bought you time by having her sent away, but not much. She will return and-"

"Sent away?" I interrupted.

Those odd flashes of thoughts that sounded different, the cold chill that I felt at the hospital, the sudden change in Sunset's demeanor when we got there, it was all him.

“You… You mess with her mind?” I asked, whether I was asking about Sunset or Trixie though, I wasn't sure.

Bizarro, calm dow—

“You mess with her head!” I shouted out in anger.

I had to! She was a distraction! You needed to be in Ponyville!" Darth Vader argued. In my rage I attempted to hit the Sith Lord, but my first passed through his ethereal body. Despite that, I threw another punch that ran through his body, followed by a volley of punches and swings that failed to hit or grab him. I didn't care though, I was too desperate to feel his neck in my grip to think of a different way of attack.

"There are many problems that you can fix, Bizarro!" He shouted as the Force pushed me back and held me in the air. "Problems that would become harder for you to fix if you just up and left Ponyville to be a traveling performer!" He screamed as my body was thrown violently into the ground with my back digging a hole into the dirt that laid underneath me. "Do you know how many plot lines revolved around Fillydelphia? How many world ending issues are caused or fixed there? None! Ponyville, Canterlot, and the Crystal Empire are the only places that matter to this world’s safety!

"Bizarro trusted you!" I screamed at him as I shot my Ice Vision at him, once again passing straight through his body.

I did what I had to! I wanted to create a hero, a true Superman who could fix this world’s issues and protect the Elements of Harmony! Perhaps, in my arrogance, I was too merciful towards you." Darth Vader said as he stepped closer to me. “Not all of us get what we want… But I will.

"I have slain armies, concurred kingdoms, and killed gods all for the safety of my people. I have killed without regret or remorse so my fiends could live, and if I must make you a pawn so another version of them can survive, then I will." He said before he plunged his hand into my chest, vomit erupted from my throats as I felt his presence invade my body and mind.

"W-w-Wha?" I stammered as I tried to grab onto something, anything, to pull myself off of him.

"This is a move I learned from the spirit of Darth Grogar, the same ability I used to transfer my soul into each of my Tokens, the ability to transfer my soul into another being." Darth Vader gloated as I continued to struggle to pull away from him.

"With your powers I will bring Equestria into an era of peace and friendship, the likes of which no dimension has dreamed of. A perfect Utopia that I shall live in. My friends will be remade here with ease, first I'll teach Spike and Twilight the ways of the Dark side, and then I'll find a way to have them recreate Nightmare Moon. I'll have my perfect family again." The dark lord calmly stated as his body buried itself deeper into mine. Pain flared through my mind as I felt the chill of his etherial body start to merge with mine, and I let loose a howling cry of pain as he continued to bury his other arm into me.

You will become my vessel, my Superman. Now, Sleep.” He commanded as my eyes began to feel heavier and my consciousness slipped away.

LUNA POV

Bizarro’s blood curdling screams ranged out throughout my realms, a murderous cry of pain and terror that sent chills down my spine.

A intimidating tall black armored being concealed in shadows and stars stood outside Bizarro’s door with a glowing red blade that pierced Bizarro’s door with ease. As the blade shot through Bizarro’s symbol, another horrific scream rung out from behind the door while the symbol slowly burned away.

“HALT CREATURE!” I shouted at the mysterious figure who dared to torment one of my subjects in my domain. The figure instantly complied, stopping with his blade still buried inside Bizarro’s door. The blade hummed with magic as it burned the wood of Bizarro's door, a sound that was only drowned out by the screams of Bizarro and odd creature's breathing. The being’s mechanical breathing echoed inside his armor, a sound almost akin to one of those new oxygen machines or gas masks ponies wore and I idly wondered why it would wear a gas mask in my realm.

The sounds of Bizarro's painful whimpers resinated from behind the door as the blade was removed from his door. The blade then disappeared into it’s cylindrical handle with a strange spell as the creature straightened his posture and rolled his shoulder. “Ah, Luna…” The Dark figure said as he turned to face me. “I should have expected you to come here.

His black armor reflected the swirling colors of my dream realm like gaseous mana moving inside a crystal ball. His armor was decorated with highlights of silver and purple that led to several ornate crescent moons on his armor. The red eyes of his skull like mask bored into my soul as he gazed upon me. I felt myself swallow my fears and cringe as I felt the eyes hidden behind his mask undressing me. It was unsettling to be under his gaze, as if he was judging me yet appraising me at the same time.

“What are you?” I asked.

I was many things once, but who I will be is your savior, Luna.” He replied cryptically.

“That is Princess Luna, to you foul creature.” I told him firmly. Whatever fear or worry I felt was quickly dashed away by a newfound resolve to show the strange entity that I was in charge, that this was my domain.

The being mearly held a hand to his chest in mock offense as he looked at me. “Luna, I’m hurt.

“Do not pretend to be a familiar friend, you will refer to me by my proper title and cease your actions, demon.” I commanded.

Sorry, Luna, but I won’t. I need him, you need us. With Bizarro’s abilities and my knowledge, we can make Equestria perfect. No more wars, no more suffering, complete and total peace.

“I will not be swayed by your words, demon. Now, leave my realm immediately.”

HA! Or what? You cannot strike me down, Luna, you never could in my reality.

“So you are a Displaced then?” I asked the monster, buying some time as he prepared to go into a monologue like all villains do. I discreetly sent a warning to my sister via an old spell Marras taught us. My hopes were that with her aid, we could dispatch this Displaced without damaging the Dream Realm or harm the minds of our Equestrian citizens any further.

Yes. My world was perfect, a true Utopia under the guidance of the Harmonic Side where I ruled as the Emperor of the Night.

“Was? So something happened then?” I asked. My question caused the black armored stallion to pause as the air around him grew colder.

I was the one true Sith Lord, I had everything I wanted. I had a family, friends, a real home. And it was all taken away because of one man, because of one action that was beyond my control. Everything changed in an instant. But now, now I can get it all back, I can recreate it all here. I can have everything again, and I can make it better! I know which villains to kill and which ones to reform, I know who will stab me in the back and who will raise a shield in my defense. Everything will be perfect.” He explained. “My wife, my family, my friends. I’ll have it all again… And nothing will stop me…” He said as he held out his left hand to me. Somehow, an invisible magic hit me and proceeded to hold me in place.

“W-what is this?” I asked in confusion.

The Force. It has many abilities, one of which will allow me to take Bizarro’s body and make it my own.” He said as he walked back to the door. My body followed the idle motions of his hand, it was similar to how a unicorn foal would use their hands to practice their levitation magic in school. But unlike those spells, this levitation magic was colorless and much more powerful than an average unicorn.

Bizarro has the powers of a god, with him under my thumb I shall fix this world. I will get my happy ending, even if I must take someone else’s.“ He said as his magical sword reignited and slashed through the symbol on Bizarro’s door. Bizarro's cry of pain rang throughout the Dream Realm as the stallion continued his assault on Bizarro's mind. As I struggled against my invisible chains I attempted to reason with the stallion in hopes that it would either buy me time or persuade him to cease his attack on Bizarro's psyche.

“Listen, I too know the pain of losing a home, losing family, and losing friends. My home was destroyed to, and as much as it hurts, I may never go back to it. But I have grown since then and learned to accept it. I am sorry that you lost so much, but you cannot enforce your will on Bizarro or us to recreate it. Please, listen to reason.” I pleaded with the Displaced. “Even if you succeed, it shall not bring them back. Please, I know the path you walk down. It is a path I tried to walk when Nightmare Mo—“

DON’T YOU DARE SAY HER NAME!” The Displaced roared protectively as he spun around and pointed his sword at my throat. “I know they won’t be the ones I lost, but it’ll be close enough! I’ll do anything to have my friends back.

“I understand. But you must see that your actions are hurting others. Please, there must be kindness inside you, somewhere. Just stop this and we can come to a peaceful resolution.” I tried to reason. My words momentarily stopped the dark armored stallion for a moment before I felt the energy surrounding my body increase drastically.

NO! I will get everything I want! I’ll have it all again!” He shouted in defiance as he forced his blade deeper into Bizarro’s door.

Bizarro’s mind screamed in torment as the armored stallion continued to penetrate his door with his blade. I attempted to use my magic to stop him, but whatever magic the Displaced was using on me wasn’t allowing any magic to leave my horn.

“Why are you attacking Bizarro’s mind? How did you enter the Dream Realm!?” I asked the Displaced. Every moment he was distracted would be a moment that bought time for my sister to arrive, and I planned to use anything I could to buy Bizarro and myself those precious seconds.

I will take his body once I shatter his mind and toss what is left into the abyss of his own psyche. As for how I got here, it was one of the first things Nightmare Moon taught me.” He stated as his blade continued to burn through the door.

"She taught you how to enter my realm but not how to open a door?" I mocked.

"I never needed to learn. She was always there to do it, she was the... The Key..." He said slowly as his blade retracted. "That's it! I don't need to shatter the door to get in! I have the key to everycreature's dream right here." He boasted. The strange magic that bonded me in place pulled me closer to Bizarro's door.

"N-NO! STOP THIS!" I demanded as I felt magic being forced through my horn. If he continued an unstable amount of magic would be forced through my horn against my will, severely crippling me and sending a magical feedback to all of the Dream Realm. Thankfully, before his vile plan could be completed, a blast of energy slammed into him, knocking him away from the door and freeing me from his constrictive magic.

“Luna, are you alright?” My sister asked as she landed beside me. I was so thankful to have sent that message to her earlier. If I hadn't, the Dream Realm would have been flooded with sleep magic and possibly sent every dreamer into a permanent sleep.

“Yes, thank you, Tia, now let us end this monster.” I told her as I let my magic flow to my horn and summoned my crescent moon halberd and black armor. My sister had already equipped herself with her golden armor and only needed to summon her longbow, letting loose a magical arrow at the Displaced.

The Displaced raised his hand and caught the arrow in mid air, holding it away from him with his colorless levitation magic before he flicked it away. I rushed at him with my weapon, swinging my halberd at his head in the hopes of ending this fight quickly. The being merely ducked under the long blade of my halberd and pushed me back with his powers. Before I knew what was happening, I felt something crushing my throat. I only felt it for a few seconds however as the Displaced was once again distracted by my sister’s barrage of arrows.

His blade sliced through the golden arrows with terrifying ease, his magical blade leaving a trail of red aura behind each precise swing. When Celestia attempted to string another arrow, lighting leapt from the stallion’s fingers and struck my sister’s armor, sending sparks of lighting that danced across my sister’s body as she screamed in pain.

I returned to the fight in an instant and continued my attempts at killing him quickly and stop his assault on my sister. He dodged each strike of my weapon until I finally managed to bury my spike into his torso. My momentary joy was quickly dashed away however as he dissipated into a cloud of shadows and reappeared behind me, raising his blade in the air as he prepared to strike me down with one blow. My heart stopped as my imminent doom approached swiftly before I instinctively teleported away from him, his blade only contacting the air that filled my previous spot.

I reappeared at my sister’s side as she stood up to let loose another barrage of arrows, her aim tried and true, allowing the arrow to sail through the air towards our opponent. Many of the arrows were sliced with precise strikes, until one lucky arrow slipped past his defenses and lodged itself into his chest, causing him to scream in pain as an arrow with the power of the sun burned his insides. To our utter horror, he grabbed the arrow and wretched it out of his body, holding a weapon that could easily burn through titanium.

Our attack resumed as I charged at the Displaced with my halberd, intent on severing his head with my blade. To my disdain, he retreated to the shadows yet again and dodged my attacks. When he reappeared, he threw his blade at me, allowing it to spin through the air like a wheel of death. I used this opportunity to teleport to his side and attack him while he was unarmed but was caught off guard when the blade immediately flew back to his hand. I felt the sword burn through my etherial mane as I barely dodged his attempt to lob my head off.

As his assault continued to grow in power, I summoned a magical shield to block his crimson blade when he attempted to run it through my torso. My sister continued her own assault with even more arrows flying towards the Displaced, each one equipped with an enchantment to maneuver around his own defenses. Even with the enchantments, many of the arrows had still been destroyed by the dark armored being while a few more fortunate arrows were able to pierce his body.

ENOUGH!” He shouted in rage as he held his hand out. The enchantments of our armor broke, and our protection was ripped from our bodies instantly, the remains scattered to the floor with our weapons quickly joining them as they were torn from out hands.

His strange powers forced us several feet back as a gust of energy rammed us like a runaway carriage. The stallion held his magical blade towards us in a threatening manor as he glared at us from behind his mask.

I don’t want to kill you, but I will not hesitate to do so. Besides, death is nothing Discord can’t fix once I control him.“ He threatened.

“You’re planning on manipulating him?” Celestia asked the evil Displaced.

Of course. With Bizarro’s strength and my own powers, I can recreate my home. Everything will be perfect!” The Displaced gloated as he clenched his fist tightly, almost as if holding victory itself firmly within his grasp.

“You will not!” I told him. “I am sorry for your plight, but I will not allow you to use your pain to justify your actions. From what you’ve told me, you have suffered greatly, but neither of us will let you hurt Bizarro or our citizens in your vain attempts to do the impossible.”

You don’t get it! I’ve won! You don’t have the Elements, you can’t encase me in stone because I’m a spirit, Tartarus can’t contain my soul since I was able to escape my own, and you can’t destroy my Token because you don’t have it. What can you two possibly do to stop me? I have destroyed mountains, laid waste to armies, I have even moved moons like they were nothing. I. am. a. god compared to you two!” He boasted as he took a step forward. Immense power radiated off of his body as he prepared to continue our fight.

“If you truly believe that, then you’ve severely underestimated us.” My sister told him as she summoned a two handled circular mirror for both of us to hold. Should this not work, then we had no choice but to retreat and get the Elements to fight off against him.

As my sister and I held the mirror towards the Displaced, green magic crackled across across the mirror and slowly began to open a portal that pulled the Displaced towards us. The nearly deafening screams of the prisoners held in the Dimension behind the mirror filled the air with their wailing cries and demands for freedom, their haunting cries playing a song of misery that begged for release from their inescapable prison.

What-What is this?!” The Displaced asked in confusion as his feet dragged against the ground of the Dream Realm.

“You’re demise, a prison held inside a pocket Dimension.” My sister informed him.

“A creation of our wise teacher, something she called her Days of Ect-Makinah, the Phantom Zone.” I finished as the Displaced’s body struggled against the magical pull of the mirror.

NO! You shouldn't have this! This-I-It-It’s not fair! It's... Not... NOOoo!“ The Displaced screamed as he was finally sucked into the other dimensional prison.

The mirror hummed for a few moments as the energy that connected our Dimension to the Phantom Zone died down. My sister and I breathed heavily as from magical exaughstion after feeding fo much energy to activate the spell. How Phantom was able to do so without help befuddled me, but I didn’t question it too much as I filled my lungs with precious oxygen.

“That… That was easier than I thought it would be.” My sister breathed out in an attempt at humor. I had to admit, in-spite of the fact that it was a joke, she was right. I had expected a fight that would have shaken the Dream Realm to its core in a battle that could only be compared to our confrontation with Discord. I was worried that further fighting would have destroyed the Dream Realm itself and we would have to retreat.

The Displaced’s strange abilities were challenging, but it was nothing that could stop the Phantom Zone from taking him, which was odd since Tirek was powerful enough to resist the pull of the Phantom Zone spell. The Phantom Zone spell was nothing to idly sneeze at when our mentor used that spell, but our spell severely paled in comparison to her refined ability, meaning that our spell was not as effective as hers.

I stared at the mirror with unease as it sat a foot in front of us, waiting for the dark armored Displaced to tear through the magic that kept him contained in the Phantom Zone, clawing his way through the barrier like a demon out of Tartarus. Seconds ticked by as my breathing returned to normal, and to both my surprise and relief, nothing happened in those moments. The mirror laid on the ground completely motionless, sealing the Displaced’s fate forever, condemning him to an endless void he could never escape. I let out a sigh of relief in-between breaths of air, thanking my mentor for crafting such a powerful spell.

“So, what shall we do now?” I asked my sister as I stood up and offered her my hand. She gratefully accepted it and moved to her feet, looking back and forth from the mirror to Bizarro’s damaged door.

“For now, I’ll send a letter to Twilight to check on Bizarro’s physical well-being. No doubt that whatever that creature did caused Bizarro great pain in both mind and body. Do you have any idea who or what they were?” My sister asked me.

“I only know that he was another Displaced, though he never stated his name. Although, he did carry a magical sword that was similar to what Twilight described in her letter. Bizarro will likely know who they were, the Displaced did speak as if he knew Bizarro, and he did attack Bizarro’s door specifically.” I surmised. I decided to keep the Displaced’s relations with Nightmare Moon a secret, it would no doubt worry my sister to no end if she knew some Displaced were protective of Nightmare Moon. It most assuredly disturbed me to think that some Displaced regarded her so highly.

black and purple marks decorated skin, leaving a perfect ring that wrapped around my neck. Yet another ugly detail to add onto the list of my growing deformities.

Chapter 24: Untitled.

LUNA POV

I returned the Phantom Zone projector to a room in the castle dedicated to our teacher, Phantom, for when she would hopefully eventually return from the Phantom Zone.

My sister and I had faith that our teacher would return along with the Crystal Empire soon as she predicted it millennia ago. Phantom had kept a record of all of her prophecies in a series of nine journals written in a secret language she had called, “Spanish.” The only pony able to read the journals at the time was a strange white pegasus named Surprise Pastry who later fled with several of the journals and went into hiding for fear of allowing that knowledge to spread.

The entries Surprise did share with us contained allusions to many great threats that would plague Equestrian after the thousandth Summer Solstice, though not all would come to fruition. With some clever thinking and planning we were able to prematurely dispose of the Pony of Shadows and avoid my fatal error with creating the nightmarish abomination known as the Tantabus. Unfortunately, I was unable to avoid being swayed by Nightmare Moon’s reassuring words, and became a monster in my citizen’s eyes. Phantom had warned me not to trust my, “friend” but I didn’t listen.

I tried to push Moon away, I tried to stop relying on her, but she was my only true friend for so long, and the further away I pushed her the more desperate she became. In my darkest hour, when I was at my most vulnerable, I was swayed by the Nightmare's promises of love and worship.

I inwardly chuckled at the memory of Phantom trying desperately to convince us that puns for the names of towns was a good idea. To think, towns and cities such as Fillydelphia and Manehatten would not have even existed if it weren’t for her almost zealous love of puns.

….
“It’s not that I can talk to animals, but rather that I can understand them on some instinctual level. I can only understand them when I wear my element.”

“Element?”

“It’s one of six mystical artifacts created during the early years of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna’s rule, and it’s what I and the others used to banish Nightmare Moon and free Princess Luna.”

“My Element is the Element of Kindness, an orange Harmonious crystal I ware to help my friends activate their Elelements.”

“It’s all about making them feel comfortable. They know that I’m higher up on the food chain than they are, so I try to convey to them that I don’t want to hurt them.”

“Bird stuck in well?”

“Yup. I told the mayor to fill it up so critters wouldn’t fall down and get trapped, but did she listen? Oh, noooo. Of course, she didn’t. Why listen to one of the Elements of Harmony when they make a small request that could save dozens of animals’ lives? It’s not like I helped save all of Equestria or anything. I bet she’d do it if it were one of the others.” She quietly complained.

“Wait, she no take you seriously?”

“Yeah. Sorry, I don’t mean to chew your ear off by complaining Bizarro.”

“You am no need to apologize.

“It’s just… I’m important too, you know? I’m the Element of Kindness, but sometimes it feels more like I’m the Element of being a doormat. I don’t like to be mean or bossy, but sometimes it feels like I have to be for anypony to take me seriously.”

“I didn’t have a lot of friends growing up. Aside from my brother Zephyer and Rainbow Dash, I didn’t really talk to anypony.

“When Simba was put down I… I lost one of my closest friends. He brought so much love and happiness into my life, and when he was gone, I realized it was still there. All of those nice memories and warm feelings, even after he was gone I kept every good memory we had. Even though he’s not here with me physically, he’s still in my heart.”

“I found this little fella at the bottom of a recently torn down well on the outskirts of Ponyville.“

Nox is a human name. Nox is a human name. I repeated the mantra over and over again in my head, convincing myself that it was just a weird Earth name, that I was going to Earth. Everything would be fine when I stepped through.

I stared at the weapons on the walls, a menagerie of movie, video game, comic book, and other pop cultural weapons and items that lined the shelf. There was the mask from the Mask, the hat from the Mario Odyssey game, the high school uniform from Kill La Kill, the shield from Shield Hero, Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth, Dr. Strange’s Time Amulet, and even the full Berserker Armor from the Berserker anime.

There were so many well-crafted prop weapons and items that I couldn’t even place but, even if I didn’t know what most of the items in the store were, I knew they were all props from Earth, which I believed could only mean one thing.

This is it! I’m in a comic shop! YES! I’m home! I inwardly cheered as the excitement inside of me almost boiled over. My brief glimpse of at happiness was stolen from me by Someone clearing their throat at the front of the store. I turned to look who it was, only to meet the monster who I would learn hate for all of eternity. The one who summoned me and dangled hope in front of my face, a demon who could only be known by one name.

Nox.

The symbol on his chest had also also undergone a transformation, turning into a strange red and black symbol that shared a resemblance to mythical cyclops eye’s.

TWILIGHT POV

“C-CAn’T StOp! N-NEeeD KILL! AAARRRHHHH!”

….
“Pinkie Pie, Applejack, you two get the elements, Spike and Rarity, cover crowd control on the ground while Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash make sure there aren’t any pegasi or other flying species near Bizarro.”

“Wait, I thought the Elements only worked on Alicorns?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“They do, but maybe they could help us with Bizarro. They’ve only been used on Alicorns in the past, it’s never been tested on another species, but we have to try something.”

“Hold it there, Twi. Ya never said what you’d do, tell me ya aren’t gonna do somethin’ stupid.” Applejack asked

“BIZARRO! STOP THIS, PLEASE!”

“BREAK. KILL. KILL! NEED CAT MAN DIE!”

“BIZARRO, PLEASE! REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!”

“ME DO!”

—Use elements of Harmony on Bizarro.

“Biz… Bizarro… *cough* s-sorry…”

He wore a purple roman gladiator helmet with a dark and light blue plume that matched his mane and tail colors. The helmet also had holes for his ears and long horn, apparently Shinning Armor has an exceptionally long horn when it came to unicorns, meaning that he was naturally more proficient in magic. The rest of his uniform was the average stuff you’d see on a knight like gauntlets, iron plating, shin guards, etc., except it was all painted purple with gold trimmings.

The one design feature that caught my attention the most was a shield in the center of his chest that had a design that looked nearly identical to Twilight’s Cutie mark. Apparently his Cutie mark appeared in that spot when he donned the armor, however thanks to a few enchanting spells here and there he was able to change it to his sister’s Cutie mark so she would, “Alway be near his heart.” It was sappy but also pretty sweet.

Cadence was only a hair shorter than Shinning Armor if they were measured by head height, but Cadence did have a slightly longer horn so she was technically the taller of the two. I didn’t think the horn should count but hey, I wasn’t the one who made the rules.

I looked over at Cadence and marveled at her dress, It was a sleek pink dress with gold trimmings that had a diamond heart on her left hip, and a pair of elegant golden slippers that barely made any noise as she walked. She was also wearing her little golden Tiara and had her pink, purple, and yellow Mane brushed off to the right and and foregone the use of any eyeshadow, which was good because I didn’t think light blue eyeshadow looked good on her when she wore it. Purple was always more of her color, I know it’s mine.

LUNA POV

“Heavy blood loss, severely damaged organs, and third degree burns around his left ring finger. We were able to have him answer a few questions when he came to, though we weren’t able to ask him much before he passed out again. We learned a few thing like his blood type, why his skin wouldn’t allow us to eject him with a needle unless it was enchanted,—“

“And what about his actions. Did he give any indication as to why he went into such a frenzied state, or what that ring was?” I asked her. My question seemed to elicit a sense of immense sadness from the nurse as she looked back at Bizarro’s door with a sympathetic gaze.

“Bizarro received some… Unfortunate news…”

“How ‘unfortunate.’ Pray tell, I’d love to know what would justify such an outburst.” I bitterly demanded. Although I believed that Bizarro was possessed by the ring, I still felt that some responsibility laid on him, just as I was partially responsible for Nightmare Moon.

“His planet was… Destroyed, your majesty. An evil feline creature blew it up… Apparently Bizarro’s family was lost among the rest of that planet’s inhabitants.” The nurse quietly explained to me. My anger wained greatly as I learned of his troubles. For him to finally find hope for returning home, only to be assured that it was indeed impossible would drive many to madness. For a time, it drove me to madness as well. As much as I wanted to blame Bizarro for his outburst, I couldn’t help but sympathize with his plight.

“I… I see then…”

“So… What should we do, your highness?”

“… … Continue the blood transfusion and keep him heavily sedated. I will have to discuss this situation with my sister.” I informed the nurse before I quickly departed.

“Bizarro am not dream for long time since me come. Me forgot what it like…” Bizarro stated as he looked at the other Displaced beings. Unlike Bizarro they all had a skin color that ranged from tan to dark brown with nocreature exhibiting a skin color similar to Bizarro’s alabaster color. They were all much smaller than us, not much older than Fillies and Colts. In fact, the only thing that distinguished any of them from Ponies were their lack of tails, otherwise they could easily be passed off as group of young Earth Ponies.

As I looked upon the scene with an inquisitive eye I noticed that Bizarro’s attention rested solely on a young female standing next to a taller Displaced. They both had the same skin, mane, and eye color, leading me to presume that they were relatives of some sort. Unlike the younger children who were wearing white shirts, black pants, and black shoes, the taller Displaced wore a bright blue hoodie with Bizarro’s logo flipped in the opposite direction on his chest, with tan pants and black shoes.

“Now remember, Lilly, be on your best behavior and stay away from Dominic; if he starts to say anything just walk away and get a teacher alright.” The Displaced told the younger one.

“Okay Michael… Are you mad at me?” The younger one asked as she looked at her shoes to avoid the older one’s eyes.

“No, I’m not mad. But you can’t just hit somebody, even when they hit you first. If you hit back, you get in trouble and they get away Scott free. I know it’s not fair Lil’, but you’ll get through it. Now gimme a hug and get goin’.” The one known as Michael said. The younger Displaced immediately latched onto him before a bell range out, signaling the younger Displaced to go inside.

“What is this?” I asked Bizarro. I turned to face him and was shocked to see tears welling up in his eyes as he continued to stare at the young girl run off into the building.

“That am Lilly. That am Bizarro sister…” He said silently as he continued to stare even as the doors closed behind his apparent sister.

“Really? And what of the taller one, Mik-El, is that your brother?” I asked. Bizarro shook his head and looked at the other being in the empty yard as Michael walked away from the school building with his hands in his pockets.

“No, that am me…” Bizarro replied. I was surprised by his statement, after all he looked nothing like the other Displaced, nothing from their appearance to their voice or dialect would imply that they were even related, let alone the same being.

“But how can that be?” I asked as I looked back and forth between the two, the differences only becoming more apparent each time I switched from one to the other.

“Seller man do this. Seller man hurt Bizarro, make words bad. Bizarro am no even say old name. Bizarro am freak…” He said as he averted his gaze from his former self.

“Bizarro am love it!” He suddenly shouted in pain before he collapsed to his knees and held his head in his hands, fighting back the tears that leaked out of his eyes. “Bizarro love being pretty, Bizarro am prettiest hero in Equestria! Bizarro am want to fall in hole and live!” He shouted as his chest began to convulse and more tears fell from his eyes.

I was baffled by Bizarro’s words, they were supposed to be happy statements but there was a deep-seated pain in them. I didn’t know why such joyous words would be shouted with such agony, so instead of focusing on the meaning I focused on his emotions. I hugged him tightly as his uncontrollable sobs of pain and misery came out like a broken damn.

“Biz-a-a-a-rro a-am sooo h-happy!” He cried out.

I said nothing as I held onto him and gently stroked his back. I knew the pain of losing a home, though I at least had the opportunity to say goodbye. Bizarro, or rather Mik-El, didn’t. He was cursed the moment he arrived in Equestria, cursed to be the last of his kind and to not even be what he once truly was.

….
The ring hovered in front of my niece as if it were standing on an invisible pedestal. I was about to grab the ring and protect my niece from it’s anger inducing curse before an emotionless voice came from the ring.

“Mi Amore Credenza of Equis, you have overwhelming love in your heart and an amazing ability to spread it. Welcome to the Star Sapphires.”

Chapter ?…

LUNA POV

“Ring was heavily damaged by unknown attack. All previous emotional data was wiped and turned into a blank ring. Unfiltered and pure Love energy was detected and used as a baseline so ring could reactivate. Current energy is -Error- Unknown amount of Love energy. Ring appears to be in a constant state of charging, Love levels increasing at an unknown rate.”

“Ring is powered by the violet power of Love which is derived from the emotional magnetic spectrum. Ring was previously red and Powered by Red Lantern Bizarro’s Rage.”

“Green is Willpower, yellow is Fear, blue is Hope, orange is Greed, indigo is Compassion, black is Death, and white is Life.”

“Death?” I asked with great concern.

“Death Lanterns are black ring users. Users are the reanimated corpses of chosen individuals, tasked with spreading death across the universe and wiping out all life.”

“Do all the Lanterns desire to spread their respective element?” My sister asked the ring.

“Negative. Orange Lantern Corps desires to hoard everything for themselves and not share their collection with anyone. Greed forces the user to become obsessed with anything and adding it to their collection. Only one Orange Lantern currently exists after all others were killed in a massive slaughter to possess the only Orange Lantern Charger.

“The Indigo Tribe wields the power of compassion, which makes wearer to reflect on all of their terrible deeds, forcing them to feel compassion for all of those they have wronged. Everything from the smallest insect killed to the largest population slain is weighed with equal weight on the wearer’s concise. The objective of the Indigo Tribe is to take the worst sadists and monsters in the universe and reform them through forceful compassion.

“The Blue Lanterns desire to spread peace and Hope across the sectors, they choose to wait for individuals to approach them, for hope can only be given to those who actively seek it. The Green Lantern Corps is a police force made up of beings with immense Willpower who are chosen to protect all sectors that fall under the Green Lantern Corps’ jurisdiction. The Sinestro Corps is made up of Yellow Lanterns who are chosen by their ability to spread fear into the hearts of many. The Sinestro Corps acts similarly to the Red Lantern Corps, run by Atrocitus, both of which wish to see their respective leaders control the universe with Fear or Rage respectively. Finally, the White Lantern Corps desires for life to continue, and is thus at odds with the Black Lantern Corps.” The Ring summarized.

“That… That’s a lot to take in… So, what do the Violet Lanterns do?” Our niece asked the ring.

“Purpose of Star Sapphires is to spread Love across all 3,600 sectors of the universe.”

“Aw, that’s swe—“

“How?” I interrupted our niece, allowing the device to explain.

“Violet rings are sent to females who were spurned by lovers, providing them the power they need for revenge. Captured female Lanterns from other Lantern Corps are taken back Zamaron for reeducation and are inducted into the Star Sapphires.” The ring explained emotionlessly, causing us all to recoil in shock and disgust by the ring’s indications of a war against an entire gender.

“And you want this as well?” My sister asked the device in a warning tone.

“Ring has received no orders or signals from the Star Sapphires, indicating that the Star Sapphires Corps does not exist anywhere within this universe. As such, ring will only do as the user wishes since there is no higher authority to set the rules.”

“So, you don’t want to start a war with stallions?” Cadence hesitantly asked.

“Ring desires whatever user desires, so long as ring is provided with sufficient violet Love energy.”

….
“Please speak the oath of the Star Sapphires to charge battery.” The ring asked our niece. She appeared to be confused by the ring’s request before a look of sudden realization washed across her features. Neither my sister or I understood what happened, but after she spoke the strange oath, we realized that the device on her finger must have connected to her mind to relay the oath to her.

“For hearts long lost, and full of fright. For those alone in blackest night. Accept our ring and join our fight. Love conquers all with Violet Light!” Our niece exclaimed. A bright flash of light enveloped the room in a blinding violet energy once those words passed her lips. As the light faded away, our niece had a distinct violet glow that hugged her body like a second skin

“It’s… Actually… kind of disturbing to think of what those words really mean. If I wasn’t told about the Star Sapphires, then I wouldn’t have thought much about that oath.

“How long until Bizarro awakens?”

“Honestly? We have no idea. For all intense purposes, he shouldn’t even be asleep, he should have been dead as soon as that… thing got stuck on his finger. From what we were able to surmise by… speaking to the ring, Faust I can’t believe that’s an actual sentence, we were able to find out that Red Lanterns vomit all of their blood when they become possessed by the ring.”

“Jesus fornicating with Christ.” I muttered under my breath as I digested that disturbing piece of information. “How does he have any blood inside of him then?”

“That’s one of the most debated questions we’ve had. A few of the doctors, myself included, think that one of his strange organs is reproducing blood at a rapid speed, while a few others believe the Elements of Harmony gave him more blood.” She explained.

“Strange? What do you mean by that?”

"Well, we discovered several foreign organs inside of Bizarro's body that are quiet perplexing. Take a look at this X-ray of Bizarro's spine, at the base of his spine is a hamster sized organ that is directly connected to the spinal cord and the nervous system. From our observations, we were able to determine that this organ acts similarly to the midbrain of a unicorn. While unicorn midbrains allow unicorns to regulate the mana energy output to their horn through the neurons between the horn and the midbrain, this organ regulates a different type of energy through all of Bizarro's body."

"So Bizarro does have magic then?"

“Technically, though it’s not purified magic. While the midbrain of a unicorn regulated energy in the form of mana from purified Harmonious crystals for us to do magic, Bizarro's organ is regulating two different forms of energy, and you won't believe what kind."

“Well, what are they?” I asked.

“The first is Amber Mana, a rare wave of magic that can only come from Amber Harmonious crystals.”

“Wait, that strain of crystal is extremely rare. How could his body gather magic from that type of mana?”

“The same way he regulates the other form of energy. While Bizarro has the ability to harness and absorb Amber mana, he also possesses the ability to absorb solar energy!” She exclaimed happily. "Bizarro is absorbing solar radiation through his skin from the sun, meaning that he’s absorbing Amber Mana from the only place where it’s extremely plentiful, the—"

“The moon…” I finished for her.

“Precisely! While unicorns use purified mana for spells and plants use solar energy for food, Bizarro uses solar energy to create a microscopic force field around his body at all times while Amber mana strengthens his immune system. I theorized that either this organ or the one under his solar plexus, since that one appeared to be directly connected to the heart.”

“So, Bizarro is closer in relation to a plant than a pony?” I asked.

“I wouldn’t go that far. It’s more like Bizarro’s body is just having a different reaction to the particle waves that flow from different Harmonious crystals. For example, while Crimson Mana found in Poison Joke plants can rewrite a pony’s genetic code, it may have a different effect on Bizarro entirely. Of course, we can’t know that for certain without exposing him to different waves of mana, many of which could potentially be even worse than pure mana.”

“I see. What about his biology, how many foreign organs have you discovered inside of him?”

“About half a dozen that we don’t even understand, and three we somewhat understand from our scans. The only way we’d know more about his biology is if we cut him open and studied his organs thoroughly. Of course, I’d assume direction is off of the table, correct?”

“Absolutely. We will not have him turned into some sort of lab experiment.”

“Understood, princess. Though, if I may, once he wakes up I would love it if he decided to become an organ donor.”

BIZARRO POV

..
And I opened my eyes. I was in space…

I was still alive… I was still alive and I hated it…

I floated in the vacuum of space, completely isolated and far away from everyone on Equis. For the first time in my life, I was truly alone, not just in the world but in the entire galaxy. One of the last humans in existence with every other human that survived being turned into fictional creatures that barely even qualified as human.

It was strange in so many ways, if I squinted for just long enough, I was able to trick my brain into believing that I was looking at Earth.

I was one of the last humans left, and I had no hope of ever returning to my home.

That bastard destroyed my home and bragged about it like it was a damn accomplishment,

I couldn’t remember much from when that stupid ring slipped on my finger, but I did remember the look on Nox’s face as I charged at him, before I was swallowed by that damn portal.

I shouldn’t have told him how to send Displaced away. I could have finished him off if I just had more time.

I felt almost… selfish for wanting to kill him, to take that opportunity away from everyone else who was taken from Earth like Jack and his sister. They had family back on Earth too, and now they were all gone. Everything was gone and it wasn’t. fucking. fair.

My mom, my dad, my sister, our grandparents, cousins, friends, they were all fucking gone! Hope for seeing my family again was dangled in front of my face for all but a week before it was ripped away from me.

It wasn’t fair… It just wasn’t fair.

BIZARRO POV

“Wait, have you not been compensated yet?” Pricess Luna asked.

“For what?”

“For what?” She parroted. “Okay, let’s go over the list. First there’s the destruction of Trixie’s property, then there’s the cost of her medical bills along with yours, and finally compensation for providing us with a means to essentially cure any disease.” Princess Luna listed off casually.

“I had sent a guard to inform Blueblood to pay for the damages to Trixie’s property out of his own pocket, but my nephew had apparently thought the stallion was joking and promptly fired him, so I was never told that my nephew failed to provide you or Trixie with proper compensation for his actions. As for your compensation for Bacta, well I have to admit that I simply had no idea how to repay you for that. If I were to provide you with Bits and Gems the entire Royal Treasury would be depleted,” Princess Celestia explained.

“W-why would Bizarro get so much.” I stuttered out, causing Princess Celestia to lightly laugh.

“Bizarro, your actions inadvertently brought what could be best described as a miracle cure to Equestria and, by extension, Equis itself. It’s pretty much the equivalent of creating a spell to cure all diseases at once.”

“B-but Twilight study it, and me not do that much.” I told them. While I wanted Jack to use his Bacta to help Trixie, it never even crossed my mind to get a sample to mass produce it. It was only because of Twilight’s persistence that Equestria was thriving in the field of medical science and magic, I didn’t do anything.

“You give yourself too little credit, Bizarro.” Princess Luna said as she placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. “While it is true that Twilight and other ponies are the ones responsible for recreating it, they only had that opportunity to do so because of your actions that night. Had you never called upon that red skinned Displaced then we would have never been able to synthesize Bacta.”

ZECORA POV

The night air was still in the Everfree that night, with harry a creature lurking to give me a fright. My friend in Ponyville had told me of Bizarro’s troubles, and warned me about the evil Changeling doubles. Taking my friend’s advice for safety I lurked around the Everfree quiet hasty as I set up traps to stop a Changeling and perhaps force them to do a lot of flailing.

With the audible sound of a snap I knew something had set off my trap. A smile found its way to my face as I went to go rid the world of that living disgrace. It would not be pretty, that much I knew but I believed I could keep my aim tried and true.

It was my first hunt of many more to come if I wanted to protect the town my friends hail from. To take a life is no easy task especially if they wear a familiar face as a mask

It was sight for sore eyes as I saw the creature made of deceit and lies.

….
an alien visitor who arrived at our front door.

BIZARRO POV

A tepid cup of hot chocolate rested on a decorative coaster

I… I felt nothing. It was just a tree covered in lights and crap that would be stuffed back into their boxes and shoved into the attic when today was over. In the end it was… It was just another day to me.

It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fucking fair.

This time of year used to mean something to me, it meant something good and now it was just a goddamn day!

I used to wake up and burst out of my room to rush down to the Christmas Tree and open my presents.

Christmas passed and I didn’t even notice…

“… Well… Me do know one story…”

“Can ya tell us? Pleeease?” Applebloom sweetly asked.

“Alright. Me tell story. Once upon a time, in the coldest place on the planet, where it always snows, there was a baby doe named rudolph…”

Maybe… Maybe Christmas or Hearthswarming or whatever didn’t need to have a meaning. Maybe getting together on the darkest and coldest of nights to keep each other warm with smiles and cheer didn’t have to fall on any specific day. But we choose to give it a specific day, so that we could all be reminded how good it feels to be together.

And maybe, just maybe, these holidays mean whatever we want them to mean. I have the choice to make it mean whatever I want. And I choose to believe that it means to be happy.

Merry Hearths Warming to all.

-- Flim and Flam episode. The brothers move to Ponyville when Bizarro invests in their company.

“You… You make vacuum?” I asked in surprise.

“ ‘vac-yume?’… I like that name! So much better than the Sucker!” The pony with a mustache exclaimed.

“You’d… You’d give us money to start up our business?” Flim asked with a cautious optimism, as if preparing for the rug to be pulled from under him at any moment.

“Plane? What’s that?”

“It like… Like flying carriage, but no pegasus to pull.” I explained.

“A mane blower for your home… Are you thinking what I’m thinking, brother?”

“That depends, brother. Is it a plan to make us go down in history?”

“Only if you mean thee really rich part of history, brother.”

“You better believe it, brother!”

“We’re in!”

“So, boss, what do you think?” Flim asked as he showed me something I hadn’t seen in a long time. A phone with buttons.

“With this nifty invention, ponies won’t need to use a rotary ever again! Just press some buttons and vua-la~! It’ll save time, energy, and best of all, it’s cheeper. By making it out of plastic instead of metal, the phone is lighter and more cost efficient to produce and sell!”

“We call it, ‘The juice Maker’. Able to make juice out of any fruits or vegetables with the touch of a button.”

“This is my mom’s grave.”

“ ‘Science E. Twilight, loving mother and caring guardian. May her soul forever frolic amount the stars of Princess Luna’s night.’ “

“She… She died during birth. It’s not too uncommon for unicorn mares to die during birth. Foals don’t have control over their magic, so they tend to…. When they’re pushed out they…. I…. I….” Twilight stuttered as tears spilled from her eyes.

“It’s all my fault!”

“Shhh. Shhhh. It not your fault, Twilight.”

-Reveal Rarity as a changeling at the end when Bizarro and Applejack head off to fetch her.

I heard the sounds of two Ponies struggling from the room down the hall.

“Applejack, please—“ Rarity spoke as Applejack’s voice cut her off.

“Come ‘ere ya darn varmint!” Applejack demanded.

The Changeling’s exposed white chitin armor glistened in the light of the moon, the creature had a curved black horn that was nearly hidden by her disheveled violet mane, and wore Rarity’s formal clothing. The creatures azure colored eyes widened in fear as our gazes met and became locked, both of us waiting in silence for the other to do something.

“Heh, heh… Surprise?” The Changeling asked in an uneasy and nervous tone.

Chapter ?: Monsters pretending to be Ponies.

I paced around the room anxiously as Applejack made sure the Changeling’s restraints were tightened. She wanted me to go and fetch one of the others along with a few guards, but I refused to leave her alone with that thing until she was certain it couldn’t escape. It already foal napped and replaced Rarity and I’d be damned if I let it take another one of my friends.

My eye twitched as I thought about what those bastards were doing to Rarity

“So…. I may have fibbed a little bit…” The Changeling stated slowly.

“A bit?” Applejack deadpanned.

“Okay, fine I’m a liar, happy?” It rhetorically asked. I stopped pacing and looked at the creature with unbridled rage burning inside of me.

“Where am Rare-Tea!?” I demanded.

“Bizarro, I am Rarity.” She stated. I was about to walk up and hit the lying bitch in the face before Applejack held out a hand and stopped me.

“Easy there, Tigress. She ain’t lyin’, Bizarre. Though that don’t mean she’s our Rarity, probly just be a Changelin’ wit the same name.” Applejack told me as she narrowed her eyes at the menace.

“Applejack, it really is me. Look, I’ll prove it.” It said as it straightened its posture. “You, Rainbow Dash, and I all attended a party hosted by DJ-Pon3 last year during Hearths Warming. You and Rainbow Dash got into a drinking competition, which then led to us all getting wasted and continuing the party in—“

“Alright, that’s enough!” Applejack interrupted. “So ya know an embarisin’ story. Big whoop, don’t mean ya really are our Rarity.”

“Embarrassing? Oh, Applejack it was a lovely time. Sure you and Rainbow Dash were a bit sloppy but once I used that energy spell—“ Rarity The monster was once again interrupted as I slammed my fist on the table, causing it to bend and break under my rage.

“This am pointless! We need go and find real Rare-Tea!” I demanded as I glared at the obvious imposter. I didn’t even want to play with the possibility that the changeling was telling the truth, how could it? Changeling’s have two hearts, and I knew for a fact Rarity had…

“Am… How many hearts you am have?” I asked after a moment of clarity. The entire time I had only heard three heartbeats in the room, but I should have been hearing four since the thing in front of me was a changeling.

“I was born with only one heart, meaning that I couldn’t perform my job in the hive. You see, changelings have a heart to pump their blood and energy while the other one is used to store the love they gather so they can spread it across the hive.” The changeling explained. I looked back at Applejack for any sign that the fake Rarity was lying, but I got no confirmation from Applejack that that was the case.

Dammit! That meant the changeling could have replaced Rarity at any time! I angrily thought as I tried to keep myself calm.

“Bizarro, please calm down.” The changeling said causing me to glare at her with hatred in my eyes. That bitch had the nerve to tell me what to do?!

“YOU AM SHUT UP OR BIZARRO AM HUG YOU!” I threatened as I forgot to account for my Bizarro speech. I didn’t care though, I would shout anything I damn well wanted at that thing.

“B-Bizarro, please stop.” The changeling begged as she it recoiled in fear away from me. I took another step towards the thing before Applejack stood in my way and pushed against my chest.

“Bizarre! Stop it!”

“NO! BUG AM HURT RARE-TEA! ME MAKE BUG HAPPY!” I shouted back.

“… What am symbol mean?” I asked after a few moments of silence. I was about to prove to Applejack that this wasn’t Rarity, only she, Twilight, Trixie, and Rarity knew my symbol meant—

“You said that the reverse of it meant hope, and the normal way meant change. You told us that it symbolized change and how it can create hope or be created by hope. You gave a lovely speech that struck an accord with me. With all of us.” She told me without hesitation.

I was… Well, stunned didn’t do that feeling justice, or rather feelings. So many emotions, thoughts, and feelings flooded my senses that my brain came to a grinding halt. I had only

The words caught in my throat as I continued to look at the changeling, her features becoming more reminiscent of Rarity the longer I stared at her.

“So why do you pretend ta be a pony?” Applejack asked.

“You think I like being… this?” She asked as she gestured to her real form. “I hate it. You have no idea what it’s like to be afraid that you’re constantly being judged, worried that one day a guard will barge through your door and arrest you in a moment’s notice, to be labeled a monster because of Speciesists and others like you who only prove those bastards right!

“Being a changeling is like being a monster, everypony is afraid of you, even if they don’t want to admit it. And what have changelings done to dispel these fears? Nothing! Sure, there are a few small groups but they are a minority that is always killed by the Queen when she finds them, leaving only the worst of us around.

“I’m not free to be myself, I never was. I couldn’t be free when I was with my own kind because of my disability, and I couldn’t be free with ponies because of my heritage. When I heard about what happened to Bizarro and Trixie, I was only more determined to hide myself away, because I.. I didn’t want to lose my friends!” The… Rarity cried out.

“I love you all so much! You’ve all done so much for me, even if you didn’t notice at the time. There were so many times I just wanted to throw in the towel and give up, but every time one of you stopped me! Applejack, the day you offered to help me at the Boutique so I could give you sewing lessons in return made me so happy! I finally got to share my passion with one of my best friends. And the parties Pinkie Pie would always throw reminded me that every day was worth living, that at least somepony out there liked me. When Fluttershy heard that nopony wanted to join my bookclub she eagerly volunteered herself so that I wouldn’t be alone.

“Whenever I needed a truly honest opinion about my work, Rainbow Dash was always there to tell me if I went too far with the glitter or was focusing too much on the minute details. Spike was always there to lend a helping claw or just listen to me prattle on about my problems and would offer me words of sympathy whenever I felt down. And Twilight was there for all of us when we were going to die, she risked her own life so that we could attempt to use the Elements. She trusted us with her life, and I trusted mine with her.

“I just wanted to be loved and fit in. I didn’t fit in at the hive so I made myself fit in here. And even if I had to lie in front of the Princess herself, I did it so I wouldn’t be alone again!” Rarity cried out as tears leaked from her large eyes. “I-*sniff*-I just didn’t want to lose all of you!” She screamed as her crying intensified into loud guttural sobs. A pang of guilt ran through my chest as I watched her cry in pain.

How long had she been silently suffering? How long had she been this afraid of losing everything? For her entire life? Since the night Trixie and I were attacked? If so, why didn’t I notice?

I.. I shouted at her… I called her kind monsters. I called her a monster.

That and so many other thoughts and questions raged through my mind as I watched Rarity continue to wallow in grief before I made up my mind and approached her.

My steps rang out loudly with each impact, signaling to both of them the I was drawing nearer each second. Rarity looked up at me with pleading eyes that continued to spill her tears like two rivers. I closed the distance between us as I wrapped her in a hug and let out a few tears of my own.

“Bizarro sorry me yell at you. Me sorry you needed to hide yourself, Rare-Tea. Me am love you for who you am, not what you am.” I told her. “And you am no bad. You no born bad and you no act bad, no-one born bad. You am still Rare-Tea, you always am. Me am so so sorry Bizarro no believed you.”

“Bizarro so so sorry.” I continued to apologize as tears fell out of my eyes and my breath hitched in my throat. I never meant to hurt my friends like this, I never wanted to hurt them period. And yet here I was, shouting at one of the few friends I had in Equestria. I really was a monster…

“Me am sorry.” I said a bit more loudly as the tears fell from my face and my breath struggled to remain calm.

“No, Sweetie Belle doesn’t know about me. The only ones who know are my parents. They took pity on me and adopted me when they found me digging through their trash.

“My real name is Rhynchophthirina, but I just prefer Rarity.” She told me, which I was internally grateful for since I already forgot half of her real name as soon as she said it.

“Am… Am Bizarro bad?” I asked. “Me… Me kill changelings before…”

“No, darling, I don’t blame you for what you had to do to those changelings in the Everfree.

“Clothing is a bit of a social taboo for Changelings since we only need it for our disguises. I, on the other hand, like having a little bit of modesty and decide to wear clothing all the time.”

...
“I’m not sure. I used to have black chitin, but it changed to white when I was young. My parents were having a foal, and I was terrified that when it was born that I’d be replaced, that my parents would kick me out so they could raise a ‘normal’ child. They didn’t of course, and they explained that to me when I admitted what I was worried about. A few months later, I became a big sister to a lovable little Unicorn filly with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. She was so young, so innocent, and so pure. My heart melted when I saw her face, and I decided then and there that I’d do everything to be the best big sister. A few days after that, I dropped my disguise for the first time that week and discovered my new appearance.

“I was a bit unnerved, and definitely quite terrified since the only white Changelings I saw as a larva were dried up husks, I thought I was going to drop dead in an instant. But, no matter how long I stared at my new features, nothing happened, I was relatively fine if not better than that.

I felt entirely out of place at the party as I clung to the walls of the room to avoid talking to anypony. Despite the party being a masquerade, I still found myself hiding my exposed mouth with a glass of wine that was pressed against my face.

My friends were all over the place, Applejack was having an argument with a mare about the health benefits of apples compared to zucchini

“Good evening, Bizarro.” Princess Luna said as she walked over to me. I bowed to the princess of the night with respect.

“Princess Luna, it am good to see you.”

“Likewise. We are pleased that thou were able to attend this luxurious party.” She said, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

“Ummm… Why Princess talk like that?”

“What does thou, oh, I see. Sorry, that’s how I usually speak to the nobles and servants of the castle. While my sister seems comfortable being informal with them, I feel more at ease using the old tongue to speak with them. It provides me with a sense of reassurance in a way. Enough about me, how are you enjoying these festivities?”

“It am good. Good…” I said with a nod of my head

“Bizarro not drink much back home. Too much school work.” I admitted.

“Ah, so you put your studies ahead of your social time then?”

“I have somepony who has been dying to meet you.”

“Who?”

“My personal student. Since my sister had a protege, I decided to get my own. She’s an excellent alchemist and wanted to meet you after she was given clearance.”

“What clearance?”

“Well, not everypony knows how batca was actually introduced to our world and only those who have studied it were allowed to know about the other Displaced. My protege is one of the select few who actually knows about our little secret and has made excellent strides in the field of medicine while experimenting with our replicated batch.”

“Hi, I’m Starlight Glimmer, it’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Luthor.”

“I’ve been studying Cutie marks almost my entire life trying to either speed up the process of getting a Cutie mark or helping those who can’t seem to find their special talent.

“When a pony gets a tattooed Cutie mark or a Cutie mark is magically placed onto a pony, the magic in the cells on the upper layer of skin is severely damaged, preventing a pony from ever getting a Cutie mark. In the past there was no way to repair the damaged magic reserves in the cells since Magicalexius organelles are too small for magic to fix, but the batca you supplied us with works miracles on damaged Magicalexius.

“It’s not a complete cure all. We won’t be regrowing limbs safely or becoming immortals anytime soon, but this is still an amazing-no, historical step in the fields of medicine, science, alchemy,

...
“Whoa… So you’re the alien Bizarro got the batca from? Well thank you so much for everything sir. You’ve helped this planet in ways I couldn’t even begin to imagine. We’ve only tested the batch on ponies after running it through several tests on lab rats and I’d love to talk to you about batca to see if it can be used on cold blooded species like dragons or species like griffons.

What could possibly go wrong?

So, I’m close to hitting the word limit on this blog, which is why this is being broken up into multiple posts. If you’ve read this far, then hot damn! I’m surprised by your conviction to get a general idea of where the story could have gone.
