Am I really back? · 1:02pm Nov 28th, 2020
The 10th anniversary of MLP has come and gone and so too has my ability to sit down and have enough time and patience to bang out story ideas and outlines like a madman on a mission. I'm getting older and am now realizing the consequences of leaving skills untested.
I just now saw that approximately 18 hours prior to this blog post that someone had somehow fished my second (and most recent ) published story out of the depths and added it to their favorites. Quite frankly I was shocked and a little unnerved because that had to take some looking unless that poor soul was reading through every single Taviscratch fic on the site: a level of boredom I once reached years ago. Reading back on that first chapter of Awkward Melodies now has given me a slight twinge of regret that I never finished what I started and was so excited about that night when insomnia reared its ugly head and class assignments piled up so high I felt I had no choice but to do something entirely the opposite of productive.
With that said, I'm going to at least finish Awkward Melodies and another short story I had planned over the next couple of months. I figured I'd at least give the stories started in the happier times in my life the ending they deserved. Who knows. Might fuck around and catch the writing bug again. I certainly don't know.
Until next time.
