    New Story Up on AO3

It's not about ponies. It's an work of original fiction about a fanfic author who updates an abandoned fic after twenty seven years of inactivity. I figured there might be some appeal to people who are interested in fandom, so I put it up for your viewing pleasure. A new MLP fic will be up soon.

    Author Update 10/23/2021 (Anniversary Edition)

It’s funny. I wrote a novel that I shopped to over 20 agents, (most of which I have rejection letters from) wrote a few short stories I’ve tried to sell to various publications, (with unanimous rejections as well) and the first time I’ve ever gotten paid for creative writing was when I won the award for the best TrixiexMaud fic in the recent contest. Life is weird.

A Way Too Personal Declaration of Honesty

My favorite author of all time is, and forever will be, Kurt Vonnegut. I am considering making a huge blog post where I go in-depth into every book he ever wrote. (Please comment if that is something you're interested in reading.) It is my dream to make him turn over in his grave by writing a successful, thought provoking MLP crossover fic with some of his work. If I ever write anything even a

Why-Hole Revisions · 11:42pm Nov 27th, 2020

Shortly before uploading this blog post, I have unpublished my first story, Why-Hole. I recently received an email from an EQD pre-reader which helpfully informed me of some of the many technical issues that are in that story. I'm going to edit it substantially, and will have it back up in a few days.

I will not change anything related to the plot. These edits are only about sentence structure, using more active verbs, enforcing tense consistency, and making the story easier to understand. I doubt these changes will make someone who disliked the story like it, or vice versa. Still, they mean enough to me that I need to put in the effort.

I would like to both thank and apologize to everyone who has read Why-Hole. Thank you, because that story has received some wonderful feedback. (At the time I am unpublishing it, it has 273 views, 24 likes, and 0 dislikes, along with 4 touching comments that mean a lot to me.) I likely would not have continued writing stories for this site if not for the incredible reception this first fic has received.

I'm also sorry that you all have read an inferior version of the story. I genuinely believed that there were little to no problems with the writing when I published it. Personally, I think it's disrespectful for an author to do substantial edits to a story after people have read it, but considering the many errors I made I cannot in good conscious keep it up as it is. Please believe me when I say I did not intend to disrespect you, though that is what I am doing. Your time is valuable and I'm grateful to everyone who spend it reading Why-Hole.

I have spent substantial time editing all my stories for readers to enjoy, and I take My Little Pony fanfiction seriously. There are so many things for people to spend their time reading, and I'm flattered that anyone would choose my writing over someone else's.

After Why-Hole is published again, I plan on carefully re-reading my other two fics to make sure I haven't slacked with the writing quality. I probably won't unpublish them, as long as the changes I end up making are minor. Still, I would encourage anyone interested to download my stories now, as they may change in the future. I will make similar blog posts if I end up changing those stories in any capacity.

As a result of this, you won't be seeing a new story from me in the next few weeks. I'm participating in jinglemas this year, which means a new story will definitely be up in late December, so you can look forward to that.

Thank you for understanding.
