A Bi-Annual Update from Nowhere · 4:26am Nov 25th, 2020
Firstly, hello! I hope your 2020 hasn't been an absolute trainwreck! Secondly, it's yet another Cinco doing a blog post despite not doing any damn writing how dare he!
I'm doing this to basically confirm what everyone probably already assumed, New Beginnings: Bluebelle is dead and is never coming back to life. I haven't been struggling with this decision for a while, nor did I suddenly just decide that I'm doing it, I'm basically just stating what everyone already knows while also making sure that people know that they don't have to hold out hope for any future updates to it. It has problems that go all the way to the very first chapter I posted here and there's no real way to save it since it was basically just supposed to be a sequel to a greentext fic I did multiple years previously without any planning on where exactly I wanted to take it and what I wanted to do besides "Hey I wanna write about a cute horse being pouty about having to do cute horse things."
However, despite the death of New Beginnings: Bluebelle, I've actually been off and on working on another vignette for Tales of Aetheria, the other story on this account that has basically not been looked at by a single human being. That said, some robot or AI or something posted something about wanting to see it as an alternate universe Equestria, and I liked that idea mainly for use in Ponyfinder and such so I actually did some level of planning and work that won't ever actually be seen by the light of day but will still help with writing... Y'know, whenever I actually have the motivation to write. But anyway, the next vignette is about halfway through the plot and is just shy of 3000 words. I'm incredibly doubtful I'll be able to work on it at all during December since I have my actual paying job to do, as well as some custom Christmas gifts to make, but hopefully I can finish it before the two year anniversary of my previous blog post.
While I was trying to find where I had to go to write a new blogpost, I saw that 22 people were following me and I just wanted to say thank you to those who actually felt I had a talent worth watching out for, despite the complete inactivity on my account. I, like most artists I find, actually really don't like my own creations, but seeing others express that they do enjoy the things I make gives me a tiny bit of dopamine that I usually use to help fight off imposter syndrome. Happy holidays to you 22, and all else who come read this blog of a no name author who just likes cute equines.
Awww.
