My thoughts on Sisterhooves Social · 8:27pm Nov 20th, 2020
This was an interesting episode about sibling rivalry but I just have to say that this is the true episode where it focused solely on Sweetie Belle. She is a filly who is quite the opposite of Rarity being more spontaneous and unorganized than her sister. I felt bad for her when she was trying to impress her sister and ended up ruining everything and it made her feel bad. The dynamic between her and Rarity was quite dysfunctional compared to Applejack and Apple Bloom and even though in the end it seems they made up I feel they have a long way to go. But I do love how determined Sweetie Belle is and how no matter what situation or task she faces she has the tenacity to continue trying to face it head-on even if she's terrible at it. I do like her and honestly, she is my favorite of the three cutie mark crusaders.
Other thoughts
Sweetie Belle not being able to cook and evens burns juice was hilarious
Rarity's and Sweetie Belle's parents are almost non-existent throughout the show I can't properly form a lot of judgment on them. But from what I can tell are the parents simply passing off Sweetie Belle's inability to cook and Rarity's schedule to fit there's on a whim makes them pretty bad parents in my opinion.
I think that the Sisterhooves Social was a fun obstacle course event in Ponyville and I'm glad its brought back for later episodes.
The irony of this is Rarity actually had a good reason not to participate with Sweetie Belle in the Regression Universe storyline.
