Hello to the...two? three? people that may read this! I wanted to post a quick(ish) note to say a few things:

Tl;dr - I'm back to working on my stories, but because of life and COVID, things kept me from doing it.

1. I'm back to working on 4kYOV, and will hopefully have a chapter out soon. I'm trying to get as many chapters done as I can, with my intention being that I finish it, and can release a chapter a week until the end. As to an official date, or even official number of chapters, I can't give an exact number yet.

2. I have other stories in the pipeline that I've been working on for some time now, usually when I hit a block on 4kYOV. Without giving too much away, I'll at least give the (working) titles: I'm a Princess, and I'll Marry Who I Want!, Diablo Amarillo, and L.A.R.D.. That last one was actually my first story on this site, but I've hidden it away, as it requires massive rewriting and restructuring. I think it's a solid idea, I just need to break it down and build it back up again.

3. If you've been wondering where I or 4kYOV have been, it's...complicated. The last chapter was published over a year ago (Oct. 2019), and at the time, things were mostly hunky-dory. Then, largely without warning, my mother suddenly and painfully passed away. That in and of itself kind of took the wind out of a my sails a bit. This was followed by half of my coworkers quitting throughout November and December, which upped my hours considerably (I went from roughly 50 hours a week to 70-80), which significantly cut down on any time I may have had to write. That said, I did have a Christmas/Hearthswarming story that was practically done, and so I finished and published it. Give it a read if you feel like it! Finally, Coronavirus hit. And I work in a nursing home, which had a bad habit of being hotzones for it. Understandably, most folks didn't want to apply for a job where they could get a virus (We keep having flare-ups, and have been on total lockdown since March. Weekly COVID tests, bi-hourly temp checks, and mandatory facemasks and face shields are the norm.), and so it wasn't until the last month or so that my department managed to finally get some additional staff to reduce my workload and double shifts. All of this combined to my lack of desire to work on a story that I love and has helped me in the past. That's what depression does to you, as I'm sure many people know. But I'm back! Honest!

Anyhoo, that's a long-winded way of saying that I am working on the story, hopefully you enjoy the ending (which has changed a fair bit from my original ending), and I look forward to talking to you fine people again soon. Thank you very much of your patience, and have a great month!
