Power outage lasted for 19 hours · 12:22pm Nov 12th, 2020
Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco) hit the Philippines and the power went out at around 12 midnight. My mom and I had a hard time sleeping last night due to the very strong winds, so instead of sleeping in our own bedrooms, we transferred to the study room where we slept there.
An hour after dawn, I went back to my bedroom to continue sleeping until 9:28am. We spent the morning and afternoon doing our own things to pass the time. When evening began, mom lit about 5 candles, placing them in several rooms. Before we knew it, electricity has returned at around 7pm, much to our relief. I got to blow out the candles now that the ordeal is over.
It made me remember the power outage that lasted for 6 consecutive days back in 2006 caused by the typhoon Milenyo (Xangsane). It was really difficult getting through each day without electricity.

Yeah. It was really scary last night because the winds were so strong that it pushed the windows in my bedroom. The loud bangs were unbearable. I had the feeling that the windows would fall out and the glass would shatter. Thank goodness they didn't.
Good to know your ok!
