The Moon is back

With the full moon tonight coinciding with Halloween, I wrote a quick thing.

The Moon is back so you'd best prepare
For the coming of the one called Nightmare
Moon, for she'll be on the prowl tonight
Seeking small morsels for her delight
And what feeds one so reviled?
Why what else, but helpless child!
So don your mask as you leave home
To disguise yourself as Nightmare roams
And from your neighbors collect sweets
Those, besides children, the Nightmare eats
Leave candy at her statue's base
It will sate her, and grant us grace
As sky grows light, and day returns
None but her gracious sister yearns.

But rejoice, children, now 'tis just a game
For which we'd only ourselves to blame,
So as you run with delighted screams
Be sure to thank
Good Princess Luna
For she guards
your dreams

I heard this was some special full moon. I think it's called a blue moon.
