Red Leicester is terrible... · 5:49pm Sep 28th, 2020
Tried to like it, but...no. Imagine if chewee (gum) had the texture of a used racing tire while chewing it. Even as a hard cheese, I can't like it. Not even on a cracker, as it's meant to be eaten. That taste always throws me off.
Very sad times.
You simply can't beat classic mature cheddar! (Or the stronger Vintage Cheddar for extra bite!)
If any of you haven't seen Red Leicester before, here's what it looks like:
You've just given me nasty flashbacks...

Funny how they describe it as 'a moist hard cheese'...like, where's the alleged 'moist' part? It could just be coloured recycled car tires. T'is nasty. But don't get me started on blue cheese. I was once told to eat it without knowing what it was and, well, yeah. Not happening again.

Blue is a specific taste.
The only way is Cheddar.
Cracker Barrel Cheese here in the states is pretty awful too. All of it.
