...Does this look strange to anybody else? · 1:01pm Sep 15th, 2020
I've literally never seen one before. I looked it up because I literally ate some strawberry granola not long ago and had no clue how long it might have been there. It was still in date, but never mentioned specifically white strawberries, which there were a lot of. And they were that type of softness you'd imagine old Rice Krispies to get like, if you all know that experience. *Cringes intensely from PTSD flashbacks*
This is the first time I've seen a white strawberry. I didn't know they even existed or were a thing in cereal! To be honest, they kinda freak me out.
I think those might be genetically engineered for flavor.

They're actually Japanese and completely natural, from what I've found out!
All strawberries are white to begin with but turn red as they mature, but the reason why white ones exist is because they lack the genetics to turn red. That's what my sources tell me, anyway. (Come to think of it, have you ever seen the Chinese white pear? I ate one once and it was juicy! )
So they are real and free from GMOs! But they still look pretty freaky...those holes with seeds in strawberries kinda make my anxiety twinge slightly.
