I've been sorting through an old man's stuff... · 11:32am Sep 13th, 2020
So the time came to sort through my dead grandfather's things and holy sh*t did I find a lot of interesting bits. Knives, antiquated watches, silver cutlery, Tsar's treasury bonds and more. My grandparents really don't throw anything out.
It's really fascinating to spend a day in an old man's home and just see what you can find there. Most fascinating thing I discovered is that my grandfather apparently was collecting coins.
Here's some really old 19th century Russian Empire coins (well some of them are, there's this one random coin from 1953):
Deutschen Marks from the Third Reich:
Wartime medals:
I fear if I continue looking I am going to find Nazi gold somewhere around here.
Hmmm wow... I wish I didn't make that Hitler comment now... I kinda feel bad... heh... forgive me for asking, im a bit slow, but what country do you live in? russia? A country that was once copied by one of them during the war?

No, I am not Russian, luckily. I do however speak Russian fluently and I did have firsthand experience both with them and their culture. Let's just say that the occupation lasted much-much longer than the times of the Second World War.
