Hello there! Here is my review of Teen Titans Go! Vs Teen Titans. I got to say, this was WAY better than that abominable excuse of a “movie”. I’m sorry that this is a little long overdue since I wanted to cover this last week, but here it is finally. Anyway, this was actually enjoyable to watch. Wait, you’re surprised? Never thought I would actually like something from Teen Titans Go!, did ya? Well, just like with Suicide Squad, this was another gem that I found to be rather good and enjoyable. Here is why I like this movie:

Raven:

She is honestly the best part of the movie. In fact, she is the ONLY tolerable character of the whole show. To me, she is almost the same Raven from the 2003 show. Sure, she has some of the silliness that the other characters have that slightly separates her from her OG incarnation. Still, she has her own normal, decent, and likable personality that actually appeals to me. She is the only reason why I don’t completely loathe the show. It’s the other idiotic characters like that moronic Robin who make me what to pluck my eyes out. As I already said before, I hate that “Robin”. However, Raven actually feels like a breathe of fresh air and is somewhat relatable. I would rather watch a spin-off show that features this Raven than endure torture from those other versions. She actually feels like a good character in this movie. You see her struggling with her inner demon (literally) and her trying to maintain the path of peace which strays from the path her father Trigon wants her in. Yeah, I love this Raven.

This film features the OG versions of the Teen Titans. Honestly, this was so satisfying to watch as we see these hated toddler Titans (no offense to Raven) dueling their “serious” versions of themselves. Once again, they admit that the original Titans are much better than the modern ones (even though they still continue their absolute crap fest of a show). When I saw the designs of the OG Titans, I was actually impressed with how they looked. They looked more appealing, more stunning, and more lively.

When both versions interacted with each other, they were quite accurate in my opinion. The voice actors did a good job with their characters. Some of those interactions got a couple of chuckles out of me. For example, I love how the real Robin’s size was compared to the “three heads” size of that idiot “Robin”. I was smiling at that. That bastard had it coming. The Starfires were cute in their interactions, the Beast Boys were cool I guess, and the Cyborgs were a little funny when they conversed together. I also loved how the Ravens interacted with each other. The way they even handled their fathers (both Trigons) was hilarious. Also, it was awesome having every other incarnation of the Teen Titans in this movie as well even the comic versions. The way they assembled together to defeat the villain was reminiscent of the climatic battle from Avengers: Endgame. That was really awesome. I’m just a huge fan of crossovers in general. Having characters from different universes join together is something I always loved seeing on TV. You see why I often do crossover stories?

The character development was great, the animation is terrific, the villain himself Hexagon was really good (props to Kevin Michael Richardson for the voice work), and the story was really interesting and simple to follow. If there were a few things I didn’t like in this movie, it would be some of the butt jokes, cringe lines of dialogue mostly from fake “Robin’s” part, and probably the ending as well. Ughhh... why can’t they just finish their films with some respect and decency that people would not regret watching? (Sigh)

But yeah! This was a movie that makes the show a little more tolerable for me... but mostly because of Raven. So I rate this saving grace of a movie 8/10. Much more watchable and much more enjoyable. This is something we should have gotten from the beginning instead of making a film that feeds “Robin’s” ego. Thank you writers and filmmakers for making this graceful diamond exist.

Peace.

What did you mean when you said you agreed with me on TTG while saying my insight on it?

Ok, I have to say this. Teen titans go sucks, however there are a few outliers that are... decent. 40% 40% 20%, ttg vs ppg. The former for having a different animation style, and the later for running with a joke that just works. While I have not seen the movie or ttg vs tt, word says they might good. Here's to hoping that they are.
