Just One More Featured!

It feels good to know I can still make it to the front page when I want to. After six years on this place and several years since a smash hit like Deepy, I still got it, heh.

I'm glad I finally got a chance to write a fic I can put my stamp on about Cadance and Shining Armor. I loved the two ever since their first debut, and if you know anything about me, you know I have a soft spot for married couples. I was really disappointed that they didn't get more limelight in the show, but the problem with a show as good as MLP is that there are an infinite number of missed opportunities. I've half-started a number of fics that focus on them, or just Shining Armor, but never quite found the right groove. The plot always seemed to thin or too forced, and I couldn't quite hone in on their relationship. But with this, I think I managed to strike the right balance of comedy and sexy, and neither one of them is the "dumb" one in the relationship; they feel balanced and (mostly) realistic to me. I'll almost certainly continue to work with them, whether as a sequel to this, or as a different piece covering a different angle of their relationship.

As always, I want to thank you guys for sticking by me and reading my stuff. I've been a lot more self-indulgent lately, but the more I write what I want without necessarily worrying about if any of you will like it, the more fun I have, and the better it all seems to turn out. That said, I am occasionally curious about what stuff you guys like, so for any of you who have made it this far, I'll pose a question purely for fun: what clopfic do you wish existed that doesn't?
