I don't think it's ironic. In the case against me, the argument is ad hominem because what I said was one simple sentence (which I think is good advice in these times of fake news everywhere). My argument about the fact that you don't know who the people are who are providing "news" to you on the internet is a legitimate one: I'm not attacking the person who provides the "news", I'm saying it isn't a trusted source of news if there is no editorial oversight.

I, myself, was not providing any news where I make lots of unsourced and spurious claims. I was saying that those sources are unlikely to be reliable. My opinion slash argument does not require editorial oversight to be logically valid. It's an observation without any opinion or claims. So attacking me does not attack the argument I made, and doing that is ad hominem abusive.
