Transhumanism is no longer in development · 2:10am Jul 16th, 2020

I should have made this blog weeks ago, but I think its better late than never.

‘The Conversion Bureau: Transhumanism’, is no longer in development due to a lack of interest.

This blog is meant to show off some things that I had planned, but never took off because I just couldn’t find it in me to work on them.

The first and foremost being that I was never able to introduce Terrans, which were a variant of transhumans that I really wanted to introduce. The terrans have a natural resistance to magic due to a dormant unidentified genetic mutation that activates whenever someone takes a conversion potion.

I had wanted to write a chapter where one particular Terran was working with a Nephilum to study magic in order to find a way to use it as a power source. Magitek was another thing that I wanted to introduce, but I could never find the chance to do so. There were going to be things like flying cities, flying cars, directed energy weapons, and deflector shields that would eventually become commonplace thanks to the development of magitek.

I have an unfinished chapter that would introduce Methuselahs into the story, who are basically batpony equivalents to transhumans. Methuselahs have better eyesight during the night, and their eyes are changed from having round pupils to having slit pupils instead, and are naturally nocturnal. Instead of sprouting birdlike wings like their Laputan counterparts, Methuselahs instead sprout batlike wings. The introduction of Methuselahs would have made most businesses become open for twenty four hours, and many children who either became Methuselahs or other nocturnal races from Equestria would go to school at night.

I had also wanted to write a chapter introducing Shifters, who are the equivalent of Changelings. Unlike Changelings, Shifters don’t need to feed off of love in order to survive.

I also had plans for a side story about people taking part of the Mars Initiative, and I even wanted to write a one shot about the day of the launching of the first fleet of ships to the Mars Initiative, which would have taken place on the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. There was also going to be a story called ‘Life on Mars’, which was going to be about various people adapting to living on Mars.

Another side story that I had planned on writing was one called ‘Becoming Human’, where an inverted potion was developed, one where Equestrian races could turn into a transhuman, and it was going to be about a unicorn taking it, under the belief that it would help her understand her transhuman husband better.

Another side story was going to be called ‘Children of God’. It was about a group of priests and priestesses who had become transhumans viewing magic as a gift from God, who found themselves caught in a terrorist attack by the PER, and the story was going to be about them using their magic to try to escape.

There was also plans for another story called ‘The Third Leg’, where a couple between a male Nephilum, and a Unicorn Mare, would travel to a floating city where they would meet a bisexual Lantean who wished to become part of both of their lives by becoming a threesome.

Last but not least, I also wanted to write a story where an alien race from humanity’s own universe would invade Earth, with humanity and the Equestrians working together to fight them off. Said alien race would be based off of ‘the Race’ from Harry Turtledove’s World War series.

That’s all that I have at the moment. If anyone’s interested in taking the reigns of the Transhumanism universe, feel free. Just remember to give me credit for it.
