Weekly updates: Twilight's Steampunk Adventure · 5:24am Jul 13th, 2020

Yeah, this week sucked. Honestly, I'm surprised I'm awake at all. }Sorry for posting increasingly late. But I won't bore you with my life. Instead, I'll tell you what I've been reading in the meantime. I just recently finished watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, while reading Legenderry: A steampunk Adventure and I guess I got both mixed up a little. Here's the story that came to me over that.

Synopsis: A shadow is falling over Equestria. Only a group of young mares can save the world. But will they know who is the real enemy?

Plot: Twilight Sparkle's is a mare to whom fortune has smiled upon. She's graduating as the first of her class and is ready to enter the S.K.Y. Magical Research Institute. Her family is well accommodated, and thanks to her brother becoming the youngest captain of the Solar Guard, they're enjoying of a certain status. They live in the City of Canterlot, capital of the Solar Empire and ruled by the mysterious Princess Celestia, who's only seen once every ten years. As this decade's appearance draws close, the city is in a nigh constant state of celebration.

Though Twilight usually frowns upon that kind of stuff, the double occasion of her graduation and the return of Princess Celestia are just enough to convince her to join her friends to a party. Yet, once there, things turn for a weird turn as a mare, not much older than Twilight herself, enters the place and collapses while calling for help. Following her come eight stallions covered in black masks and armed with weapons never seen by ordinary ponies. They threaten everyone at the party unless they give up this mysterious pink mare to them.

What started as a hostage situation becomes a show on itself when Trixie Lulamoon, a local entertainer, faces the assailants. In the fight, Trixie shows feats of magic that Twilight recognizes as dark magic, wounding two of the criminals. But her astonishment is cut when one of the masked stallions slides behind Trixie and aims his weapon at her. Without thinking, Twilight fires a spell of her own, holding the stallion still and preventing from firing. Realizing they're loosing, the stallions flee, leaving behind their wounded behind, while shooting the one Twilight captured themselves.

After the Royal Guard comes in and takes note, Trixie puts Twilight apart to thank her for saving her life. On the other side of the situation, Twilight is still unsure on how to approach this mare who killed in front of her. Trixie notices her uneasiness and reveals herself as a half vampire, hence the dark magic, but that Twilight can relax around her, as Trixie is now bounded to Twilight as the savior of her life, therefore under her orders.

Twilight doesn't have time to process this new development as one of the Guardsponies calls for help as the pink mare the masked ponies were following was now awake. She reveals her name is Pinkamena Diane Pie. As to whom where they persecutors, she has no idea, but suspects it has to do with her sister, whom disappeared a week ago in Canterlot. She came to the city to investigate herself, but the Guardsponies she asked for help said her sister never existed, and when she exited the Guard Stand, the masked ponies were already surrounding her. She barely escaped them and entered the first place that had any light.

Suspecting corruption, the Lieutenant asks if Twilight could take Pinkamena in her house, recognizing her through her brother and expecting the Sparkle house to be safer than the Guards Precinct.

And so begins our trip with Twilight, the bird who never flew outside her golden cage, Trixie, the vampire who yearns for light, and Pinkamena, the lost mare in a quest to find her sister, and unveil an even more sinister conspiracy that could shake even the core of the Solar Empire.

Let's see up to next week's update if I can either sketch a follow up or write an actual chapter.

Thanks for the support, pal.

So this one's more like part one with the vampires and stuff? :trollestia:

Yeah. I got this after taking notice of how similar were Dio and Speedwagon; both having to resort to violence in order to survive in Victorian London and meeting a Joestar in a critical moment. But where Dio became brutal and heartless, Speedwagon never lost himself to the violence. So, where Dio took George Joestar's help as a stepping stone for his own ambitions, Speedwagon turned his life around after meeting Jonathan.

So, I asked myself how would it look if they were both the same character. What if Dio had Speedwagon's convictions, or if Speedwagon had Dio's power.
