A few weeks ago, I submitted my video audition for Fans React. Until now, I never received a response from them. Well you know what, I'm totally okay with that because I don't need to be famous. In fact, I'm no longer watching content from FBE, REACT, and Try Not To because several reactors are quitting due to a certain controversy.
The Fine brothers collaborated with Shane Dawson on a video in 2009 which included Benny Fine in blackface. They explained this on their "apology" post on IG after they uploaded a video where black people shared their stories about racial discrimination.
I've read tweets of former FBE staff who opened up about the toxicity of the work environment such as sexual harassment, unfair treatment of women and people of color, etc. The company may have showcased diversity and inclusivity when it comes to the react cast, but after reading all the allegations, I am absolutely appalled to know the dark truth about the workplace.
Behind the camera is nothing but hypocrisy and it's another example of corporate greed and higher-ups taking advantage of the newbies and minorities, making their lives miserable for their own gain.
To wrap up this rant, I'm going to state this again. As a way of standing with former reactors and former staff, I quit watching FBE, REACT, and Try Not To.

Not surprising another corporation is thoroughly corrupt. I wish more people would take their business elsewhere, and force them to change.

Yeah, although since the Adpocalypse most channels have declined or outright stopped. Cinemassacre used to be my favorite, now I barely watch 1 in 10 videos they release.

The only channel worth watching is Emmymadeinjapan. She makes lots of intriguing recipes out of curiosity and she absolutely does not disappoint. I like how open-minded and respectful she is towards different food and cuisines and she doesn't overreact to something she dislikes.

There are still tons of channels I like, but most are on the relatively smaller side and aimed at a niche.
That sounds absolutely disgusting, and sadly, not surprising, as I have heard of those who preach their anti-racism the most are often closest racists.

From what I've read on Twitter, FBE never promoted diversity. They only see it as a profit/benefit. They don't care about the welfare of their staff. They only care about numbers and maintaining their subscriber count.
