Between The Light and The Shade- Series... · 10:15pm Jun 8th, 2020
SO, when reviewing the initial run of "Between The Light And The Shade" with my family, the overall opinion was that it was "well-written, sad but good". I had mostly written it as a bit of fun, a goof built around my enjoyment of an old favourite video game series. The one mark against it being from my spouse, saying they felt it needed more context. The ending was cute but that until that point the overall work felt confusing, the series of scenes of the soldiers that had replaced the familiar elements of harmony lacked motivation and connection.
I suppose that put that thought on my back-burner as a day or so later the inspiration hit me to produce a series of tales, prequels of a sort, which would do just that- flesh out the world which had replaced playful adventure with brutal warfare and offer substance to the events.
Scripting out the framework, breaking things down to individual chapters, I was going to start here with a bit of melancholic reflection between old companions and some outpourings of emotion- "The Pillar And The God"
I hope you fine ponies will enjoy these. Big Love to y'all.
