I'm a roleplayer, through and through.

I have been doing so since the age of nine; a long time ago, back in the year of our Lord, nineteen-hundred-and-eighty-six, I first laid mine eyes, hands and heart upon a roleplaying game called ROBOTECH, which was based on this kickass cartoon I sometimes caught on TV, in the early, early mornings where even the crickets are in bed.

Now, all the stats were... a bit much for a kid who excelled in English and not math... but the character concept? Oh yeah, I already knew where he was from and what he was like.

The game was supposed to be stat-heavy, kinda like Warhammer... but I got SO into my character role, the other two players got into theirs, and we ended up spending more time off the battlefield doing inane crap than actually fighting - much to the chagrin of our math-minded GM.

I bring this up because the two stories I'm involved in on this site are from roleplays I'v engaged in with other people, simply transcribed here into a more ledgible story format for others to enjoy. Yes, there are a number of horror stories out there about awful translations from RP to FF, but I've always had a way of just putting it to text like I'm speaking to you directly; people seem to like that, and I try to maintain it throughout the work I've done so far.

The characters in Obsidian: Daughter Of Sombra? The title character is NOT mine - she belongs to my co-author, the magnificent Wungiel, and is used with both his permission and his blessings. As her personality goes, I've done my best to ensure that is reflected in her speech and actions and to retain as much of Wungi's original text as I can; English is not his first language, and though he is quite talented with his ability, there are a few instances I've had to reword things to more properly express the character's mind and heart.

Everyone else in that story is either from the show itself, or my own creations... but anything not from Siddy is written by my humble hand. And they're not just 'cookie-cutter filler'; each of these original characters have their own goals, motivations, purposes and pasts - filed away in the cabinet in my grey matter, just waiting to be added to the canon of the tale.

As far as Obsidian's tale here goes, I'm watching to see how well folks like it before I try to transcribe the REST of her story, while still writing it out with my dear friend as I continue to keep on keepin' on. Hopefully, it entertains y'all as much as it entertained us - because that's why I wanted to share it so very much with you fine Ponyites.
