Ten chapters.

And this from a guy who can barely stand to sit through more than two episodes of a TV show at a time.

I'm a bit taken aback at exactly how much I've been putting into doing this thing. All my life, I've always been the one who never finished a project, and now I look and see the work on here - work that was painstakingly edited - and I find myself looking forward to the next chapter.

Not for content, 'cause I read it already - but for watching how folks have been enjoying it, and I find myself excited for the future. Heck, this is the first time in a LONG time that I feel like I'm doing something that I'll look back on kindly for the rest of my life... or until Alzheimers' kicks in; then, I can read my story every day, and wonder who the author is.

Statistically speaking, that might be a kind way to go.

I know this story I'm working on doesn't have a lot of fans, no... but to those who ARE reading and enjoying the story, I thank you wholeheartedly; sharing this creation with the world was my goal, and even if it reached only one person, I'd be happy. Of course, it IS reaching more than one person (at least five!), so that makes me giddier than Gabby after ten packs of Pixy Stix and a five gallon bottle of Surge.

So yeah - to you readers who allow the doors of your mind to open so that our stories can roam free in those hallowed halls, I extend my sincerest appreciations, my warmest regards and my hand in friendship. YOU FOLKS are what make this site what it is, and I cannot thank you enough for allowing this little fool to play for the Kings & Queens in your mind.
