? Not the type, obviously, to want to stay in that car in a cold, dark place.

I'd like to know how this works. How fast does the car go? That's a really big assumption. I'm hoping this is just a coincidence. Maybe if this really is a meteorite shower, the moon is going to look a bit different?

I think that's what they're counting, too.

I've been in the car since I was four years old. There is a big pile of stuff here right now that I haven't used. I think it makes sense that it might be from the event, so I'll be careful. I'd get up here after sunrise, though.

I hope they will be able to use this to get information from the car. That means I can get up here by daylight tomorrow morning, and use my telescope tomorrow morning too—but that's a lot to take in. I'd rather see in the dark, even if it means having to change into clothes.

I'm glad we're all alive. It was a pretty dark night up here—just a bit past ten o'clock. I was still trying to come to terms with some things the next day.

My biggest concern now is to get up on the roof of this thing and go get up in the car. I'm getting wet. I'll have to wear a pair of waterproof pants, and a long-leg harness to avoid any water getting off.

It's a good idea to wear gloves if you're going to be driving. It's a little colder—but not too cold—though if I got wet before I started driving, I'll be pretty hard for a while.

And, sure enough, it was raining a bit that night—but it was only a little—and was getting pretty light in the direction I was looking at. I thought about going out to the highway with a light car, but that's a crazy idea.

Even if that's what the sky was like back there…

I hope it's not going to rain again today—I mean, if they're not going to be careful in that place, I better get my stuff, and get out.

======== SAMPLE 2 ========

Titanic has seen a number of tragic stories this year, but no stranger than this one. On Saturday, July 28th, 2015, at approximately 7:50 p.m., a single car traveling at a moderate speed traveling on the southbound bridge over the Danforth entered the emergency traffic circle of the bridge.

There were several reports of cars and trucks stopped and pulled around, but in truth, the emergency traffic was not limited to vehicles and trucks, nor was it limited to people in them.

There was also a small crowd of children in the back of a truck along the other side of the bridge. Many of the children's mouths were bloodied. One boy and girl reported being thrown from the truck by the driver, who hit one by the nose.

The police reported that a single black van pulled into the emergency traffic circle and that a man with a black mask was seen. While we cannot speculate what might have been behind the van, one could not imagine how he could have been in such a hurry.

A police spokesman said that he would not release the van's license number because his department does not want to risk criminal charges.

A witness said that she was able to find out the vehicle in question through her GPS, and it was going the wrong way, but it made no attempt to leave. Her son had earlier left it on the westbound side of the bridge, and he had been driving eastbound. The police said that he had been drinking before he went that way.

On Saturday, July 28th, the police closed the westbound side of the Danforth bridge. It was closed to traffic for the first time since last year. The bridge reopened and a large crowd gathered around it Saturday morning.

The accident scene was still under the cover of darkness, and even though the bridge is a few hundred feet lower than at the time of the accident, it was still dark in the vicinity of the accident.

I have spoken in recent months with several people with knowledge of the accident, including the head of the police department. He told me that it was probably caused when the drivers were intoxicated, perhaps because it was a long night.

It's not the first time this year that we've had cars and trucks pulled down the Danforth and cars slammed into them while they were driving slowly along the eastbound side of the road. On one occasion in late July, there were also cars that had been stuck in the emergency traffic circle and pulled out with them, and I believe that this one was driven by a truck driver.

I don't mean to sound like I'm a jerk, but I really have to stop.
