The Queen had her guards, her two commanders, her lieutenants, and her personal guard. She even allowed the guards in question one-on-one combat with each other. Most importantly they were all her guards. The Queen was clearly not a person who thought her kingdom would be defended by some of the best armor available when the entire army gathered. The only person who could stand against the Queen, and her army at her back. The Queen had a massive army and that wasn't enough to defeat the Queen. And by a surprise attack on Queen Chrysalis, her guards turned her against her as well. They did this for very little.

So much more.

Then there were the dragons, the two of them. The Queen was in the midst of a rebellion and it was only a matter of time before the Queen became the ruler of a different kingdom in an attempt to crush the rebellion that she had created. Her forces were now fully capable of dealing the Queen's forces with equal force.

"She's dead?"

"She is a slave, of course there are good things to be said for your kingdom." Her thoughts ran deeper in this place, as she approached the Queen and the guards that fought beside her and the soldiers that fought along with her. "But I'm counting on you, Princess. With the time and resources that you put into the Empire, we can defeat it."

"I won't say it won't be easy." The Queen was on her guard, and the guard was right that it wasn't that. There was absolutely no way that the Queen could defeat an army from their own country, and the Queen proved this point again and again, though she was the superior one. She had to be strong.

But what if the Queen didn't have to be strong? The Queen and her forces had been working against each other for many more years before they were united. Now at their full force, the two sides would have to fight against each other to win one of the kingdoms.

"You, Princess, could make it happen. You're the best. We never believed it might work."

Ponykin was speaking to the Queen, and she was not the first to say it. She had heard of the other queen, Queen Chrysalis. Her eyes were on her, searching for any evidence that the Queen really wasn't a true monarch. As far as she knows, the Queen had no actual authority over whatever kingdom the Queen had created. The Queen had no authority over any other queen, and so far as she was concerned, the Queen was a puppet.

For a Queen from Equestria with as little authority as the Queen of the Crystal Empire, that was just… very, very strange.

"I'm only as much Queen as you are here."

Queen Chrysalis, for all she was saying, was looking at the two of them. "It is very important to you both, my Princess, that the Queen's forces prevail in this civil war. When the two sides in this conflict come together, I believe both sides will win. The Queen believes that there are only two sides to this conflict. There is only good in the world; we all want the good there. The good of our kingdom can never be balanced by war." Queen Chrysalis turned her attention back on the Queen. "I believe there are three of us; three of us that we can rely on."

"Three of us?" The Queen seemed to have a good idea of what the Queen had just said. "What does three mean?"

"Well as usual you have a few suggestions, although I can only say that if three different ways to defeat the Queen are ever achieved, I believe one thing is for sure, we need to bring this queen to justice." The Queen said, and the Queen who stood before the Queen was almost ready to answer. The Queen had the power to crush the Queen, just like her father had done. But if King Equestria needed to defeat Queen Chrysalis? The Queen would make that happen herself.

"Queen, we've had enough of the Queen. I'd rather we let her continue the task and help her brother, and her sister, defeat her sister! We don't need to fight each other and they won't have to fight us!" Queen Chrysalis said, but she had no power to defeat her brother, and she couldn't force those other two in the room, although Queen Chrysalis could certainly take to the airwave...s
