So, on Monday, I go to my job wearing a mask - due to the fact I have almost a whole houseful of people with underline health problems and didn't want to get caught with the virus or get my family infected (better to be safe than sorry) My job said we have to wear masks so it was no big deal.
But this one lady came in, she was an older woman, don't know her name, never seen her before, she comes up to the counter and told me that I should be ashamed to wear a mask that belonged to doctors and shit. calling me ignorant for even having it on my face, if I'm not a doctor or had the COVIN-19 virus - which I didn't.
I tried calmly to explain that my job said I was required to wear one, she kept on and on. Mind you, I work at a Family Bits, I had cameras watching....if my HR manager, who was standing right next to me, hadn't stepped in, I would've said something that would have gotten me a write up.
My manager, this sweet, intimidating older mare was not having this woman insulting me. When the woman starting spitting out bible versus at us, saying how it's devilish for people who don't need to wear masks when they are not sick, or some shit, my manager booted the woman out of the store. ^^ She be my hero.
