Two weeks notice. · 11:22pm Mar 22nd, 2020
As of two-o-clock this afternoon the state of Ohio is under a stay at home order for at least the next two weeks. All non-essential workers have been ordered to stay home. All essential workers must wear a workplace idea to show that their job is essential. And as luck would have it, grocers are considered essential. My shift started just as Governor Dewine made the declaration. Within an hour the lot was packed with people buying up everything they could. Cart after cart loaded to the brim, some customers even bringing up two. For the first time in months, every register was open. By the time my shift ended, we were out of half-pints of milk, ice cream, eggs, chicken, frozen vegetables, and so much else I can't think of them all. In my last blog, I mentioned how I might be busy this week, but I didn't think it would be this crazy.
Stay strong, everyone!
