One-month lockdown · 5:37am Mar 17th, 2020
March 15, 2020 was the start of the community quarantine and it will last until April 14. With COVID-19 becoming a pandemic, the best advice is staying at home and washing hands regularly to avoid the highly contagious virus. As I went to the mall on March 15, I noticed that it was almost like a ghosttown. Of course, I wore a mask for the sake of my health. There were a few people walking around and a few restaurants have been temporarily closed such as Mary Grace Cafe, Starbucks, and Yoshinoya. The cinema is also temporarily closed until further notice, which means I won't be watching Onward and it's likely that I won't be watching Mulan.
It's frustrating to read the news about people going into panic buying mode, hoarding a lot of disinfectants and masks without thinking there are many others who need it. It makes me mad that people would take advantage by reselling those items at an unreasonably high prices. But one thing's for sure, panic only worsens the situation and we shouldn't let fear get the best of us. We should just keep on our guard and take good care of ourselves.
Stay safe, everypony.
Wish I could isolate, work in retail so it's risk disease or starve! Thanks late stage capitalism!
I pray we all remain healthy
