Well, I should get this out before too much time passes, just to keep you guys posted.
So, I finished Chapter 28. I was hoping to keep the pace, but Chapter 29 is giving me a hard time. Even more so than Chapter 27. Originally, I thought section 5 would be a breeze since I got the outlines done within a week. Turns out, editing is a harder bit than I previously thought. I guess that is what I get by last-minute expansion. I ditched the original outline (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). It was good practice, and sure makes the final sections of the story interesting. I just wasn’t prepared for the amount of time it would consume to pursue the new ideas. I count it as a lesson learned that outlines make sure that the editing goes smoothly.
Big things are coming. Chapter 27 was the beginning of such chaos. I’m very excited for the last few sections since they came along kinda naturally. It’s still a hard bit, but I’m enjoying myself while making it. This is primarily what is making this whole journey worth it. Hopefully this spike in difficultly editing will pass.
