It's Valentines Day again.
It's a day of love and cherishing for loved ones. We're not talking about strictly only girls and boys in relationships, we're talking everybody, no matter who you are, on a global scale. I only hope your Valentines Day isn't spent sat in school where you're all made to pretend being nice to those around you, even if you have nothing in common, and your teacher orders you all to make a deposit cards to each other. We saw how that ended up in The Simpsons...
Love is the strongest feeling out there, how you express it is up to you. Like last year, I want to set aside some time for some people out there that have made a significant difference in my life. Let's begin!
Amethyst Dawn - Buddy boy, where do I even begin? You're the American brother that feels like was stripped from my life back when I was a child. It's as if we shared the same womb at one point in time, and I guarantee, if y'all were an English Limey like meself, love, people would think we shared the same blood. I want you to know, despite our differences in heritage and whatnot, I still think of you as a brother, laddie. Stay fabulous, you Blighter in disguise! 💜
Skyward Sword - You've been there whenever I needed a proofreader or a beta reader to tell me how much I suck. You always proved me wrong and you offered me some amazing feedback and pointers, which I thank you kindly for. Thanks for always being cool with our conversations, for having those deep chats we have at times, for being a friend and generally for being such a sweet dude. We may share differences in preference for Cookies v Muffins, but at the end of the day, they're both delicious. We're at an impasse where we compromise and hug it out. Stay delicious, Sky. 💙
Anonpencil - Seriously, whole-heartedly, I've wanted to say this for a long time - thank you for everything. Not just the laughs, but for helping me get started o YouTube. You were really cool to let me do all of those readings, so I owe my current YT status and subscriber count to you. I swear, where I'd be without your consent for all of those crazy, often-lung-rupturing reads, I have no clue! I can't thank you enough for that. Second, the other thing I wanted to say to you was thanks for all the laughs. When my life was incredibly shitty, my depression was high and I was at risk of attempting suicide, you brought me some happiness through that time. I can't say that happens often or at all with me. That deserves some praise, at the very least. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my powdered, broken heart. 💚
Gyro Pony - I know you've not been around for long and we've hardly spoken too much, but it's nice to have you around, man! I wanted to write this to say thanks for giving me those pep talks and advice in some of my blogs, giving me pointers here and there and for being a sympathetic ear. I don't converse much with people too much, but I'll say quite easily that I like you, bud, so welcome to the herd! You're officially a part of this big, happy dysfunctional family. There are numerous others out there, but if I went on making so many little paragraphs to explain my feelings towards you all, I'd go on forever. Bear in mind, to keep this so simple, all of you followers out there, you do mean quite a lot to an English twat like me. I often imagine what it'd be like if I wrote stuff and nobody read it and enjoyed it enough to want to stick around. I know I'm not the best writer, and I don't class myself as a pro-level author in any sense, but I must be doing something right! So, in laments terms, thank you. 💛
Unrelated, but I wanted to share it - If I'm remembering correctly, this year will mark three years since I got out of my abusive relationship. The thing is, although I've been single for a while now, I have to say, I'm actually not sad about it. As a fun fact, I've never spent Valentines Day with a girlfriend before, ever. I wonder if I ever will, but I guess I'll find out at some point, won't I? For now, I can't say I'm complaining one bit. I'll be fine as long as I have music to play and write. That's more than enough to keep me occupied somewhat.
Anywho, that out of the way - happy Valentines Day, 2020! Keep those you love close, hang tight to them and don't let go! Love the one you're with, people. You can't live without them!
