Year's Been a Hellish Nightmare - but it's not all been horrible!

That said fuck this year. But I also have not abandoned this project, have been learning new skills, and actively working on brainstorming. If it's gonna take three fucking years for me to make proper progress on this shit I might as well add as much to the ideas as I can to make it thematically cohesive and meaningful. That said! Here's a sneak peak to some shit I'm considering. Have fun!

    Blugh. Sorry again.

Okay so long story short. The anxiety's done and gone for the most part, or at least the physical attacks are. But my mother's recently been diagnosed with dementia and I'm having an intense trauma response to it while trying to process all the emotions that come with it, especially seeing as this has always been one of my worst fears. Comparing Yourself. · 7:42am Feb 7th, 2020

Everyone tells you not to compare yourself, and that's a huge truth. But sometimes you're not going to be able to avoid it, so all you can do is avoid the materials that make you compare yourself. Sometimes it's a gut clench reaction that occurs when you least expect it. You think you're completely at peace and comfortable with your own skills, but then you look at someone more popular than you, who does almost the exact same thing as you, and you realize you're not really at peace with it after all.

All you can do is avoid these moments, and try to shelter yourself. Remind yourself that the beauty of your reflection is not based on popularity or skill, but by your behavior as a human being. And that it's okay to make mistakes and falter sometimes, so long as you get back up and try again.
