Ranking all of my Fimficiton stories! · 12:15am Jan 13th, 2020
With A Day in the Life being the tenth addition to my ever-so-growing account, I thought it would be a fun idea to rank all of my published stories.
My criteria include:
Like-dislike ratio
Amount of views/comments
How much I like them personally/How fun they were to write
This ranking will include all of my stories, PR included, but don’t worry, I won’t talk about those for too long
#10
Of course, my least favorite story is gonna be Call of the Wild: A Power Rangers Story
Looking back, I don’t even know why I bothered to complete this. Of all my PR stories, I had the least fun writing it, and while it doesn’t have the worst like-dislike ratio at 11:3, it does have the least amount of views at 276. I also wouldn’t be surprised if there were numerous grammatical errors, but I don’t care enough to check.
#9
If you haven’t guessed the four stories that would take the lowest spots on this list, of course #9 will be Legends of the Past: A Power Rangers Story
This story in currently on hiatus, and it will probably remain that way until the Lord comes back. All I can really say about this is that this was my first time writing anything about EqG, and that was kinda fun.
It’s got a like-dislike ratio of 3:1, and 289 views.
#8
There are plenty of things I like about this story, but Prehistoric Thunder: A Power Rangers Story still only takes #8. This was my first time writing any sort of fan fiction, and boy does that show. I literally didn’t even know that I had to separate the dialogue with paragraph breaks.
This gets above the last two because it was a lot of fun to write.
It has a like-dislike ratio of 15:4, and a whopping 487 views
#7
And of course, taking number seven is Welcome to the Jungle: A Power Rangers Story.
This is so much better than all my other PR stories for several reasons, the most obvious being that it isn’t nearly as rushed, though that’s not saying much. I also took care to add more depth to each character, even if they are canon.
It has a 9:4 like-dislike ratio, and 333 views.
But now, we’re finally done with PR, and getting to the stories that I’m proud of
#6
My worst good story is arguably Please, Starlight, Come Back
I had the idea to write this after reading my friend ThePinkiedWonder’s story, Nopony Interrupts My FRIENDSHIP SPEECH, Starlight Glimmer!, where Double Diamond says that everypony’d be glad to forgive Starlight for what she did at Our Town and decided to build off of that. This was my first attempt at a one-shot, but boy did I come up short.
Reading it now, I feel very unsatisfied with how it went and feel I could’ve done more to show why Starlight was sorry, and why Double Diamond cared about her and wanted her back.
It has a 26:3 like-dislike ratio, and only 398 views, less than my first PR story
#5
This was a little tough to decide, but my number five is Romantic...Other Worlds?
This story was literally inspired by a single comment on a chapter that someone else did. This takes number five over Please, Starlight, Come Back mostly because it was my first big collaboration with Peni Parker.
This takes place under the rest of my stories because while Peni Parker’s chapters go very much in depth, the majority of my chapters are just...there.
It currently has a like-dislike ratio of 41:6, and a respectable 737 views
#4
Coming in at number four is my latest creation A Day in the Life
I’d seen a few CYOA stories, and thought I’d give it a shot. While I love how it turned out, it was a nightmare to do, even with Peni Parker’s and ThePinkedWonder’s help. Bit of advice, don’t do a CYOA story unless you have a lot of time on your hands.
This story takes this spot for that reason alone.
It has a 13:3 like-dislike ratio, and 292 views. It was great to work with my two best friends on the site on this, and I hope we can work on something together in the future, but you know, not as nightmare inducing.
I mean, Peni even said this alone scared her away from doing one of these herself
#3
The second and third spots were tough to decide, so number three goes to Romantic Mischief
I put this at number three because while it has a better like-dislike ratio of 65:14 than my number two, that’s only because I can keep adding onto that,
Anyhow, I love this story and am proud of it because it can go in literally any direction I want it to. Viewers can also write their own chapters and see those posted as well, adding more randomness to the mix.
#2
And my number two is of course going to be Caught and Punished
If I were able to finish this, it may very well could have been number one. I’m really sorry that I won’t finish it, but I’m still proud of how well it was received, having been my second consecutive featured story.
Alas, the story is in the hands of ThePinkedWonder, and I’m excited to see what he cooks up.
As for what I did publish, it came really easy to me, from Starlight’s capture scene, to Sam’s interactions with other ponies, even the implied Sparlight. I feel like I did Starlight’s change of heart justice, and I’m glad the majority of the site thought so too.
It has a like-dislike ratio of 58:6 and 951 views
#1
But of course, my number one story is Romantic Meetings
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. This was literally just a way to vent my frustration for writer’s block on Call of the Wild. I had no idea people would fall in love with Jake Taylor, or a Starlight and Twilight herd situation. There’s at least one other one of those stories on this site, but it is very different.
A lot of comments complained that we know nothing about Jake, but that’s because THERE IS A PREQUEL IN THE MAKING. This was featured several times with each update and continues to get more and more views and likes, though I am still waiting on an official review for it.
It has an incredible like-dislike ratio of 232:28, and an outrageous 3,286 views
So what did you think? What’s your favorite story that I’ve published?
Leave a comment down below telling me how you would rank my stories, and I will see you later.
One last thing before I go though. Yes, there is a prequel to Romantic Meetings in the making. I don’t know when you’re gonna see it, but I promise that it will not end up like Caught and Punished
If I had to pick a favorite, I'll pick Romantic Mischief, partly because of the shenanigans.
I've had thoughts on trying a CYOA story and the thoughts are still there, maybe even a bit stronger now. The biggest question for me is what it would be about, but I have a couple of ideas of what I might try to do, if I decide to go for it.

Good luck, buddy
I'd say my favorite is Romantic Meetings because not only was so good in and of itself, but it also started the Jake Taylor-verse! Without it, there'd be no Romantic Mischief, Romantic...Other Worlds?, or A Day in the Life.

Completely true
