What America had was more of an open debate to determine whether or not to actually have a trial to impeach.
It's like how when Prosecution Offices and Police collaborate to determine if there is cause to put someone on trial and how to best prosecute them for crimes comitted.

Plus, most likely the Senate will acquit Trump. Not only has he successfully built a voter base that believes that Trump is the Republican Party and therefore the party desperatly needs him, but also removing him from office means President Pence; which very few Republican politicians actually want.

Exactly. Pence is very conservative. If you don't like Trump, you'll hate Pence.
Either way I see it, this is too little too late. We're entering an election year. If you've survived three years, you can live through one more.
And tbh, he's actually cut down on unemployment quite a bit. I don't support what he's rumored to have done, but he was honestly a better choice than Hilary Clinton.
Yeah it wont go anywhere in the Senate. This is a huge waste of time and money.

Both were bad choices IMHO. The last few years are a testament that the American Democracy simply doesn't work the way it used to.
America needs a drastic overhaul, and neither side is offering good alternatives.

tbh, that's not saying very much. Clinton may have been my last choice, but Trump wasn't at the top of my list either.
Not really, more likely than not, this will only hurt Democrats. Impeachment is not a popular thing, it was at first, then just sank and sank to the point where even Adam Schiff-head was getting flak for it. It will fail to pass from the senate, get nowhere, and moderate Democrats who vowed they would not follow impeachment and did so anyway are gonna be torn to shreds by the people who put them in power were then betrayed.
