I know how annoying it can be waiting for updates, and with the series now over, interest is probably going to gradually wane over Friendship Is Magic fan fiction over the next few years. Unfortunately, my pace at writing Friendship Is Absurd is... slow. As in, really slow. Sure, there's only a few chapters left, but due to the aforementioned slow pace of writing it could take a good while.
I don't want to leave people hanging, especially with interest in the series' fan fiction going to wane over the next several years due to it ending. Granted, I suppose there's not that much people are left hanging on, as all of the major plot points raised so far have been concluded, so the story never reaching a conclusion wouldn't be THAT disappointing (so if you've been putting it off due to its unfinished state, now honesty isn't a bad time to read through it, as noted the major plot threads are all resolved). Still, I would like people to be able to see the ending while they're still interested.
As a result of these and other considerations, here is my declaration. If, one year after the series ends (October 12, 2020) the story isn't finished--or very close to finished--then I'll put up a post explaining what was going to happen in the remaining chapters. Granted, there's not that much plot to speak of, but I did have a few interesting twists planned.
So, um... yeah. That's it. Hopefully the remaining chapters will be finished well before that time and this blog post will end up being totally pointless, but I figured I should put that promise out there.
