Behind The Scenes/Behind The Mind - Throughout Equestrian Years - Part 1 · 8:46am Nov 3rd, 2019
Have you read Throughout Equestrian Years yet? If you haven't, leave this blog post and read it, but if you've read Throughout Equestrian Years in its work in progress stages so far, you'll adore this blog. I'll be talking about my mindset when writing this project.
My Process Of Research
To start this off, I would like to explain in depth how I research the topics for Throughout Equestrian Years. Here are two guidelines for researching:
1. Make sure the source is reliable by checking the URL if it's a .edu or .gov. .com are for commercials and isn't the best source for research except for Wikipedia.
2. Make sure the research given makes sense by using what's called common sense.
That's pretty much all of the guidelines that I have for research. If I'm missing any, let me know, please.
My Process Of Writing
To kick it in, I would like to explain how I write every draft. Here are guidelines for writing:
1. Don't EDIT before you finish! (I know, I break this rule tons of times, but I'm getting better at it)
2. Come up with combinations of both realistic and unrealistic goals depending on what the story is! (If it's a horror/dark one, make sure your story's goal is to be able to scare someone)
3. Think of it as if you're the god of the world because you're the god of these characters and worlds, and YOU get to decide what they do, not anyone else!
4. ALWAYS have a deadline!
5. Write your outline before you write your first draft!
That's pretty much all of the guidelines that I have for writing it. If I'm missing any, let me know, please.
Dealing With Fans
Finally, I'm perfectly okay with fans making fan art of my fan fiction, and it would make me cry if you did, but there are at times the WEIRD and the RUDE ones! I would just report the rude ones if they break any rules, and ignore the weird ones. What do I mean by the weird ones? Well, the ones that ask if they can edit your fan fiction, make a better version of your fan fiction, and plenty more!
In conclusion, if you have any questions about how I write, feel free to ask me, please!
