Ernest Rides Again is without a doubt my favorite Ernest film.
It was "that close to being an actual cartoon," but it's all the better for it. So many moments and bits in the script were brilliantly stupid ("stopped by apple maggots again!" is a personal favorite, implying that it's an unfortunately common occurrence) , but the manic slapstick energy of the film just makes it all work.
I am quite excited to dive back into this!
