Hit a huge life goal! · 4:10am Sep 15th, 2019
Gonna skip a lot of details or this will be 10x as long.
There's been two huge projects on my lap, besides King of the Dead.
One of them is making my first videogame which is going...well it's going.
The second is revamping lasertag with my best bud of like...twenty years, Karl.
Karl and I hit a snag where we had to find a 3rd person to do the programming. The issue is, we're paranoid of someone stealing our ideas. So while Karl works on the hardware and I mostly do development and game design, I hit a wall of "Well okay what do I work on now?" So I went back to trying to learn how to make game,s but I always get hung up on the coding. I found a video series that teaches me in a format that works for me (Being able to immediately use the small snippets of code they give you immediately.) I hit a huge milestone in being able to do a decent chunk of basic coding on my own and went "Hmmm, given what I know, I could kinda see myself programming our lasertag. too bad I can't do it in C#...wait...can I?" I looked it up and YEP I certainly can code our software in C#. So it's been a huge chunk of milestones as programming was the obstacle for both our lasertag and videogame dreams. I'm taking a small break from coding to get back to writing though. I get kinda sad when I don't work on KOTD for too long. just wanted to share with all you amazing people!
Congratulations man, it's always good to learn and apply new skills.
Woot! You go, bat pone!
