Five Years Ago, Dead Island 2 Gameplay Was Shown!

Hey kids, remember Dead Island? I do. That game was quite the peculiarity. A game with a trailer that received wide-spread attention due to its somber atmosphere and tone. There was a semi-sequel called Dead Island: Riptide too, but nobody remembers that. Well, fast forward to E3 2014 and there was a CGI trailer for Dead Island 2 that was played to Pigeon John's The Bomb. Its tone was the exact opposite of the first game's, being a very wacky and colorful display of zombie goodness. At Gamescom 2014, we were given a glimpse of the actual game as shown here.

Five years later, and three developers later, and we've still got no idea when this game will come out. So let's celebrate today by pretending this will hopefully never come out as the current developers are the geniuses behind Homefront: The Revolution!
