Does anyone here play Breath of the Wild? · 9:05pm Jul 20th, 2019
I know this isn't about MLP, but hear me out. (Plus I didn't see anything in the rules forbidding this)
They shut down the Zeldapedia, which is part of Fandom, and redirected everypony over to Zelda Wiki, which isn't part of Fandom and I don't have an account there. Also I think GameTalk X.0 got rid of their game forums.
So, I can't talk about Breath of the Wild with anyone anymore, except my brother and my friend Screwball, the former got the game for me and saw me start playing it, the latter has beaten it twice.
Even though I'm focusing on the kinda similar Xenoblade Chronicles for the time being (though on my second playthrough starting at Level 88 from when I beat the final boss), does anyone here want to talk to me about Breath of the Wild? Your favorite parts of it, how you go about playing it, interesting experiences (especially on first playthroughs), etc.?
Breath Of The Wild strongly suggests to me that Link and Midna were canonicaly togeather after the events of Twilight Princess.
Consider the following:
The Shieka Slate acts as a conduit when used with shrines and similar devices. It completes a circuit when applied.
The Slate is damaged when Link wakes up.
Since the Slate is damaged: it is reasonable to assume that the Chamber of Resurrection stopped functioning properly at some point. Link should have gone full comatose and died.
Of course...he wakes up anyway.
So logically he cannot be fully Hylian, but he has no physical traits of the other tribes.
In Twilight Princess, it is established that one cannot fully perceive a member of the Twili Tribe, even in areas where the two worlds were overlapping. You need magical assistance to see them for what they are. Link could see Midna because he had the Triforce of Courage.
In Breath Of The Wild, it is canon that Link and Milpha had a romantic relationship and that she often healed him with magic.
Milpha's magic, I would argue, allowed her to spot Twili heritage in Link.
This revelation, I feel is part of why Milpha persued a relationship with Link: having seen that an intertribe relationship apparently happened down in Link's ancestry.

Interesting theory.
So, how many times have you beaten the game? Or was it enough that you didn't take count? What order do you do the Divine Beasts in, or do you go straight for Ganon once you're strong enough?

Currently on 2nd play through
Order I went in last time: Zora, Goron, Master Sword, Geurdo, Rito, Ganon.
Current run I want to start with getting the Master Sword.
Thinking about running straight for Ganon after that.

Most playthroughs I go for: Zora, Goron, Rito, Gerudo, Ganon. Though once I tried Rito before Goron for Revali's Gale, but I can never resist going for Zora first coz that's my favorite one, and nearest. As for the Master Sword, I usually alternate between stamina and hearts, once I have a full second stamina wheel I keep getting hearts until I have 13, whenever that is (often before Goron or Rito) and get the Master Sword. On my tenth and latest playthrough I got the 13 hearts early via Horned Statue, got the Master Sword, and traded back for the stamina.
On my sixth playthrough, I think, I tried the Ganon bosh rush without any Divine Beasts. Of course I still got lots of shrines and good weapons including the Master Sword, and also Zora Armor even though I didn't do Ruta just yet. I beat the Ganon boss rush with the Master Sword. Afterwards, I did the Divine Beasts coz they're fun and got all 120 shrines, about 18 I needed a walkthrough to find. That was the only playthrough I got all the shrines, but I remembered some for the next four.
In some random order depending on when I feel like it, is when I'll go after Faron and the Lake area. Nowadays I might be more inclined to go for Akkala after getting Revali's Gale to climb the tower easier. And I usually go to Korok Forest before Zora's Domain now so I can at least go to the Master Sword when I'm ready, as well as the shrines there and Hetsu being there 24/7 for weapon expansion when I have the Korok Seeds.
Good luck with your second playthrough. You'll probably find more stuff the second time, I usually did for my first five. Usually after taking a break for a few months or so after beating it, I feel like playing through it again, exploring the open world that's bigger than Xenoblade Chronicles and being able to teleport to any shrine or tower you activated, and Paraglide through the air.

Straight to Ganon Speedrun
...
Having heard Xenoblade Chronicles makes me want to start playing it again

That's quite impressive of him. I did not know you could do that Bokoblin trick to get there, nor that trick when he's getting back up. I have heard, however, some people would go straight to Ganon after getting the Paraglider. I guess they got the weapons for it at Hyrule Castle.
If you're familiar with Xenoblade Chronicles too: I tried it out recently after using Shulk to fight Galeem and Dharkon on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It's a pretty fun game, had to do a LOT of level grinding to beat some of the bosses, I was particularly afraid to fight Lorithia without being six levels above her, having heard in advance she's the hardest boss, more so than Tyrea and Jade Face even. Once I was around 70 I killed the high-leveled Flamii at Colony 9, from there I got to Windy Cave enemies, then Dark and White Hox, then Gogols, till I was Level 80, beat Mechonis Core, leveled off Yumea, beat Lorithia, as soon as I lost against the spiked dragon I leveled off the Gogols at Satori Marsh. I beat Zanza pretty easily at Level 88, and am now on my second playthrough, which is must faster without the level grinding, about to go to Prison Island the first time.
Who are your favorite characters? Mine are Fiora and Riki, my favorite areas are Bionis Leg/Gaur Plain, Ether Mine/Central Pit, Satori Marsh at night, High Entia Tomb, and Memory Space. Favorite songs are Colony 9 (the village section), Satori Marsh (again at night), Mechonis Field, the battle theme for Galahad Fortress and above, and the Zanza battle. Honorable mention to Prison Island the first time.
