Still toiling away at the story....

Hi everypony! Well, I was trying to get my first 'military-type' story done in time for the 75th anniversary of today's special day in history; the storming of the Normandy beaches in France by Allied Forces for World War II, but it looks like it's going to drag on longer. The 7 page hand written outline turned into an 81 page Word file that's bullet-pointed and now looks like it's turning into a 250+ page monster when written out. Damn! I wish I could write better by not making the story so overblown! I envy some of the writers on this site who can get their stories across with better language and fewer words. Guess I'll have to keep at it. I'll shoot for July 4th as a target but it will most likely get done before then. As my first completed story to post, this time I won't be doing it by single chapter, I plan to upload all chapters as once.

I recently joined the 'write an episode' group and have a story in the works for that; it's in Word form already but needs to be worked on and kept to approximately 27 pages or so. Working title: 'The Apple-Pie Hubbub'. So I guess everypony can figure out what ponies are going to be involved with my first submission. Hope to get done ASAP so I can move onto the next story idea. I'm also having a grand time reading the various Starlight x Sunburst stories here; so much romance! My favorite shipped pair!
