I think I'm done writing MLP fanfiction. I might finish my Ray stories when my drives are repaired, and I might do my rewrite of Imposters, but at this point I've lost a lot of enthusiasm. I put a lot of work into what I do and either shit happens that prevents me from continuing or people just don't care. It's not hard to be a nobody in this fandom. A lot of ideas I had for future fics are going to be recycled into more original stories (Battlewings, for example).

In case I decide not to finish the above stories, this is basically what was going to happen (spoilers ahead):

Road Gangs: Ray Part II - The team lands the Dauphin and gets a call from Cattani who is comically even more wounded and bandaged up, tells them about Tempest and the shit he was causing while they were gone. Chrysalis takes the Dauphin to handle it herself. She lands in the forest where the old hive is, careful to avoid tripwires that Tempest rigged a bunch of claymores with. She goes in the cave and confronts him, but accidentally steps on a PROM-1. They converse, which buys her time to figure out a strategy and the fact that the mine is actually a dummy stolen from Ray's classroom. She steps off and dives, but it injures her slightly. They fight. Tempest triggers a huge trap that he was setting up earlier in the story. Eventually Ray arrives in the Model 4 with everyone else. Tempest is somehow trapped in the fight, as Ray rescues Chrysalis from the hive (after Tempest utters a mystifying phrase: "to seek out the truth, look to Jupiter" or something like that) and they escape a massive explosion, which triggers the claymores outside as well. Big hollywood moment, basically. Tempest is officially dead.

Things seem fine and Chrysalis takes off for Handlirsch in the Dauphin. Ray uncovers burned notes on the helicopter, specific parts highlighted by Tempest. This alarms him, and he urges Junkers to go with him to get the Snakefly. (While Chrysalis was looking for Tempest in the cave earlier, he took the opportunity to plant a bomb on it). They catch up with her flying over a river. They tell her to keep her altitude and airspeed, otherwise a change might trigger the bomb. Ray boards the Dauphin with a grappling gun, suspenseful moment when he has to detach before a tree hits it. Junkers takes Snakefly back to Handlirsch to announce their emergency and arrival. As Ray tries to disarm bomb, he sees another helicopter closing on them - it's Overdog in the Hind. Big, epic chase scene as the Hind fires at the Dauphin as they struggle to keep their speed and altitude, while Ray disarms the bomb. He finally does, and uses a door gun to fend off the Hind, but the Dauphin's engine is hit. They reach a waterfall and trick the Hind - Overdog fires a barrage of rockets that hits the water in a huge curtain. Dauphin is gone. He looks for wreckage, flying over the waterfall, but he doesnt know that they were hiding there and waiting for him to pass over them. They shoot the guided missiles and destroy the Hind, killing Overdog once and for all. They head to Handlirsch and crash onto a runway. They exit the Dauphin just before it explodes. Ray and Chrysalis finally end their charade about their feelings for each other and kiss. The End.

Ray III - This was going to be an homage to Waterworld - all the post-apocalyptic action moved to the sea. This is after Ray and Chrysalis decide to take a vacation on a cruise ship, but it gets attacked by pirates / "sea wastelanders". Main villain was to have an old aircraft carrier and a P-3 Orion. Maybe a nuclear sub too, who knows. I wanted a cool scene where the two vessels fire broadsides like in a pirate movie, the pony ship with old scavenged cannons and the carrier with its modernish armament. Snakefly gets more use too. I was gonna have minor dialogue about the Jupiter line from Tempest in the previous story as well, with them pondering its meaning, but its sort of sidelined against the bigger dilemma. I was thinking of maybe having other factions on the waters as well; some in atolls like in Waterworld and/or underwater habitats like in The Abyss or DeepStar Six. Not sure how I would've ended it, but most likely would've included an explosive end to the villain. Because of course.

Ray IV: The Steel Frontier - Yes, after some thought about the Jupiter line in the second story I developed ideas for three other stories. In this one, Ray gets disturbing news that Chrysalis had died in a mission. This makes him darker throughout the rest of the story, a bitter shell of a man. He hangs out in Appaloosa's bar where he drinks his sorrows away.

A small wasteland gang takes over the town, forcing him and Braeburn to team up and go wild west on their asses. I wanted epic imagery of Ray riding a motorcycle like a badass cowboy on a horse. Eventually it's learned that the town is near a hotspot for "artifacts" and strange anomalies (homage to Roadside Picnic), and the gang wanted to take over the town as a base of operation for collecting them and using them for exclusive trade in the wasteland, as they are quite valuable since they have unusual "powers." Word gets out to Canterlot about the attack and reinforcements are sent. Bad guy killed epicly as usual. The story ends with Ray being told that Chrysalis is still alive, and she needs his help.

Ray V - I didn't have a complete plot figured out for this one yet, but I know it was going to be really big in scale, with multiple villains and subplots like in Road Gangs. I was gonna finally explore the strange Jupiter line as well; this was Chrysalis' secret operation, to investigate what it meant, and she stumbled onto information that would change Equestria forever, hence the secrecy that led to faking her death. At first she thought it meant something to do with the planet Jupiter pointing to the origin of modern pony life (aliens and all that shit), but the truth is far more troubling.

It turns out that Tempest was actually referring to the Jupiter Factory in Pripyat, Ukraine. Even more troubling, it's actually very close by. The Everfree Forest is actually a small fraction of unexplored land that is revealed to be the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone! (This explains a lot of the Russian tech featured so much in the stories). They rig up an amphibious robot to explore the basements that are highly-irradiated and flooded. The deeper they go the more interesting things they find; secret labs, skeletons of mutated creatures, all kinds of freaky stuff. But most of all, they find research documents about secret experiments that happened well after the disaster (in real life the factory was still operational until 1996). One of the experiments involved using a giant antenna to relay some kind of "abilities" to mutated lifeforms that were more receptive to their signals - this involved the creatures having some kind of bone structure that acted as an antenna to receive these signals (i.e. the horn of unicorn ponies... you see where this is going). All of that was part of some bio-weapon program. After some traveling in Snakefly they find the Duga radar complex, which is still running (the massive antenna was re-purposed to send these signals which give "magical creatures" their abilities, which aren't that "magical" or "supernatural" after all). I'm not sure how I would've explained how it was still running... perhaps its all a conspiracy, as Celestia had secret personnel keeping it going after all these millennia, which I guess could explain the previous secrecy about the existence of humans.

Ray: Endgame - Working title; I would've changed it since "endgame" is about as overused of a title as "redemption," etc. I have no idea what I would've done with this, but it was going to be the final chapter of the Rayverse. Humanity is pretty much extinct now aside from the main human characters; the ponies and other creatures are the new sole inhabitants of Earth. Ray was to be killed in action, and Chrysalis in turn sacrifices herself to save Equestria - I had an idea that she would use an old rocket to intercept and blow up a nuke that was launched by the villain. The end I envisioned was this: flash forward into the future, a scene involving some pony's foal in bed, with Junkers, now an old man, telling him stories about his adventures. When asked about what Ray was like, he answers how he was his best friend and all that; emotional stuff. The End.

Transequestria - This was gonna be a prequel story in the Rayverse about the origin of Equestria, with influences from the game Transarctica (the main setting is a massive armored train, in a snowy wasteland caused by nuclear devastation). I was gonna somehow tie this into the Hearth's Warming Eve story about the founding of Equestria, with an agreement of omitting humans from pony history in order to protect their ideal society.

Imposters - Or Impostors... didn't officially decide which version of the word to use. This was basically my attempt at a really disturbing and gross sci-fi horror fic, blending elements of Alien (the spaceship setting), The Thing (the creature that stows away is capable of imitating the crew, and yes there are very graphic transformations like in the JC movie), Species II (Mars being the ship's initial destination), and the anime Lily-C.A.T. (which also blends the first two). I was gonna have them find a derelict ship, which is where they find the creature, but it turns out to be an older pony spaceship from a previous Mars mission. I was gonna add extra suspense by focusing on the paranoia aspect of the characters, something a lot of The Thing inspired works tend to forget.

--

And there were gonna be a lot more (see previous blog), but I really don't care anymore. I'd rather focus my ideas on original works than waste them on a dying fandom that doesn't really appreciate them. Sorry...

Wow :derpyderp2: You've just created a whole universe. Though I understand your lack of enthusiasm since a lot of stories I've read are still marked incomplete. But I'll give props for you to at least address the situation in this blog post. Since most authors don't do that.:unsuresweetie:

But if it helps best of luck to you in your writing of fiction!

What a shit bag - Why'd you dump all your stories? I've seen your downward spiral and figured it was a phase.
Who ever sold you on the gender fantasy did you a big disservice,
As my old Pops would say "You fucked up, What are you going to do now?"
Wish you well.
It's 2022 soon to be 2023.
