Not Dead!

Okay, I've needed to get this blog post out for a while, for a whole big bunch of reasons.

First of all: thank you everybody for the kind words! I've gotten a lot more comments and messages lately on Maternal, most of it good and prompting me to continue. I'll get to that!

Second: a couple messages are in regards to my previous blog post. Yeah, life still isn't great even after a few years, but as I tell a lot of my closest friends, things seem to get better every month. I had some serious issues with my eyes this winter, but in the scope of how long it is taking me to write this story, it's a blink of the eye

So the main crux of this blog post is partly for me and partly for all of you asking me to continue. Yes, I am working on more chapters of Maternal. I am a slow writer, and the mood does not grab me often, I am also extremely incapable of making decisions so what I do write, I rewrite and rewrite multiple times. You can see how what will end up being less than ~20k words will have ended up taking me at least 3 years?

I want to write more though. And that's one of the reasons I'm making this post. I will not set myself a deadline, that's just setting myself up for failure, but I am going to hold myself to work on things. For a good while there Maternal wasn't the only thing I was working on, I want to get back to that, just not at the expense of finishing my first fic.

I AM hemming and hawing over one thing, though. I'm very tempted to just wait to post until I finish the fic. I have to be honest, the "finish/continue/fic dead?" comments get a little annoying after a while. I'm kinda getting to the point where if I post something I'm going to make sure it's completed.

I'm still deciding on that part. Either way the next chapter has been like 3 hours worth of work from being done for months, I'm hoping once I finally knock that out I'll come to an understanding of what I want. Maybe you guys will see an update then, maybe a little while after hopefully gaining some steam and finishing things up.

In the interest of that accountability thing, and as a minor insider treat for those of you that actually read this post (for some reason!), I'll let you in on the current plan of attack for A Maternal Figure.

Part 2 of Chapter 2, which was supposed to be the whole thing until I got waaaay sidetracked, which will follow the Mothers to be through most of the rest of that day.

Chapter 3 which will be a porn free interlude set on Hearth's Warming with just all the saccharine fluff, which was supposed to go up 2 Christmases ago (LOL).

Chapter 4 which will be the final main chapter with most of the serious fetishes nice and quarantined (hyper pregnancy/immobile pregnancy/belly worship/hyper breasts/lactation)

And finally an Epilogue which will be a very strange creature indeed by the time I'm done with it. Shenanigans, much of it involving procreation, abound friends.

But beyond that.. I really really do want to get into more writing. I have a SpikexThorax romance that I've had a prologue mostly ready for forever, I have another anthro pregfic DiscoShy that I've had about a third done since 2017, and I have just a straight up fluffy as a cloud E-for-Everyone one-shot TwiLestia that has been trying to batter it's way out of my brain for the better part of two years that SIMPLY MUST BE WRITTEN.

Oy. Thanks for reading anyone that's still here at this point. The TLDR is that I'm not dead, Maternal isn't dead, I swear I am going to finish it, and I hope that telling all of you that will light a fire under my own damn keester to actually fucking do it.
