To be fair, before Chernobyl, almost no one knew the risks and danger of a nuclear meltdown and the fallout. Which makes it all the more respectable to those brave souls.

Yeah... Real heroes they are.
And the scary part is that it could have been far worse. Historical fact, that was another of those type of reactors on the site. The other was still producing power in the 2000’s and only shut down about the time they put up the current containment facility. I wonder how the site is doing in your Wild Access story and how Thrax could use it.
