Introduction to the Fandom

Hi everypony! I'm really happy to be here and meet as many new writers as possible. I must apologize for my lateness to the fandom; I didn't join until the reruns of Season 6. The first episode I got to watch from start to finish was 'No Second Prances' and loved it. I suppose 'better late the never' can apply to me. I hope to meet some more writers and artists at Bronycon 2019 to collaborate with on a story or two.
I just submitted my first writing piece to the site and do hope eveypony likes it. This was conceived and written as a response to learning on ACRacebest's youtube channel about how Bronycon 2019 would be our last Con for MLP. To say I was bummed by that news would be an understatement. So, I thought to myself 'What kind of sendoff could I give the mane-six that could close one part of their lives and open up the next one?' This story is complete; that is, the outline is done but I haven't finished putting on all the dialogue and the two comedy scenes I'm still struggling with. Humor does not come easy to me. I find it hard to 'be funny' when writing; more often then not it sounds stiff and not very funny.

I would love to hear any and all feedback on what everypony else thinks of this first chapter. As I have several more chapters done and plan to post them over the next few days. If anypony wants to recommend a story, please do! I'm not really sure where to get started or who might be good to start reading from.
