So, do you guys think I am pretty good? If you do, nominate me here. Of course, perhaps this should wait till I have more completed work... but I'll put this out here.

    Nominate me here.

    Introduction to Gale Wind

I've decided to write a narrative that is a bit of a 'prequel' to the other stories. It explains who Gale Wind is, how the characters are humanized, and the other details of my AU. Thing is, I haven't decided how to publish it. I feel like it would be a good first chapter on each History. But I'm not sure about that. I don't know if it's against the rules, for one. But maybe it would be better as

    Who sees this?

This isn't me trying to get a whole lot of attention. I'm just curious. How many people see this? If people who see this could make a small comment, that would be appreciated.

Oh, and for your trouble, have some awesome.

    To the Apple Jack fans

You may have noticed an update or two on the story. Or should have. I now can tell you that there will be 7 chapters, including the Pre-Interview and Post-Interview. I have written the Pre-Interview, which includes some parts I've grabbed from the Apple Fritter chapter. I've also rearranged the chapters. Interestingly, because Apple Fritter was chapter 2, and that is no longer a published

What I'm up to and coming soon

So, it's been a little while since I've updated any of the stories or added a new one. I've decided to try and get things a little more organized. That means actually writing up the survey that Gale Wind gives. I'm currently at question #286; this corresponds to question #300 in Kinsey's original survey. The original survey had 347 in it, and some sections I've already made redundant... so I'm

Background Info on SBitEF: On Gale Wind and Buffaloa University · 9:04pm Nov 6th, 2012

I am starting a series which should comprise my entire work here on FiMFiction.net. The series is called "Sexual Behavior in the Equine Female". The format of all of these stories is that my original character, Gale Wind, is researching what Equestrians do behind closed doors. In order to clean up intros and to streamline questions on the series, I'm going to make a few blog posts regarding the story, to clear up any misconceptions.

Buffaloa is a region in Equestria. A long time ago, many Buffalo lived there... but that's not so any more. The name stuck, though. This was centuries ago, so most of this is mostly forgotten. It is not a particularly populated or important region, other than the Buffalapolis 500; a pegasus race of severe endurance. Buffaloa University is one that has some successful sports teams... basketball, football, and has a decent academic record. (Note: basketball and football are part of FiM canon, so there is certainly no reason they wouldn't be in my universe).

For the record; this is of course based on Indiana/Indianapolis/Indianapolis 500/Indiana University and the plight of the Native Americans in the 18th and 19th century. I figure the plight of the Buffalo was not as violent and horrific as that of the Native Americans, but they did get displaced often.

Gale Wind is of course based on Alfred Kinsey. He pioneered many areas of sexual research and is in many ways responsible for how much understanding we have today. It of course took a long time after his research for it to take effect, but there is no doubt that he planted the seed that lead to much of our changing cultural response to many aspects of sexuality. Premarital sex, homosexuality, bisexuality, sexual fluidity, masturbation, oral sex... there were huge misconceptions about all these subjects before Kinsey came along.

I plan on having a universe that is mostly in transition on acceptance. Celestia and many others have taken Gale Wind's first book, "Sexual Behavior in the Equine Male" and decided to start making political and legal reform. Culturally... not everything has transitioned. Some people have taken the work quite to heart, and made strives. The populous knows now that 10% of males feel they are homosexual... not less than 1% as previously stated. Not to mention that nearly half of males have had an experience or response to males. Unlike in our world, Equestria didn't go through a decade of repression after learning about this, so things are progressing nicely. In addition, as there is no religion in Equestria that has any rules about homosexuality, which makes things easier. Still, there are those that adhere to tradition.

The character Gale Wind is interesting in that his cutie mark was deceptive. When, at a young age, he gained it, he thought it meant that he was going to study nature. And for a decade, he did just that. He studied wasps to an extent no one had before. Returning to Buffaloa University, he started to teach, and through a few fortuitous events, began to study sexuality. He developed his interview system, taught a few others how to do give the interview and then began to interview stallions across Equestria.
